This is my first action camera. The picture and video quality is great especially for the price. It's been camping with me, been used as a dashcam and for general family photos and videos. I really like it. The only thing that doesn't work well is the microphone, it barely pics up anything. Of course you can buy one to plug in but these cannot be used with the protective case. To be fair, for the price and it's general use I can look past this and still give 5 stars, it does exactly as it's say. The app is user friendly which makes it easy to put media on you phone wirelessly and the charging cable connect to a laptop and is very straight forward. I've seen people complain about the battery life. I had it out for an over night camp and used it a good amount and I did not have to change or charge the battery once. It's universal for all GoPro connectors so easy to find the mounts online. Would highly recommend especially to start with if you don't want to spend a fortune on a GoPro.

Purchased this action camera for our long haul holiday and so far have no reason to not like this. The battery could last longer, but don’t we say that on all battery powered products. The setup and use was easy to use and the images are crisp and clear. Had an issue with the warranty which was resolved quickly and without concern. Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for an action camera to use while travelling.

Taking price into account, this is a good base level action cam. The video quality is reasonable, although you get better results with 2k7 with image stabilisation turned on than 4k (where it is not supported) - at least for in-car footage. It's not going to compare with the latest models, whether more expensive Akaso or from other manufacturers, but then it's at a low price point. You also get a lot of accessories in the box. Battery life isn't great - handy having a couple of batteries but maybe only 45 mins recording or so from each.

I have never used an action camera before so I wanted something easy to use. This fitted the bill. Easy set up, the touch screen is really good. It was reasonably priced. It is a great intro camera and will be ideal for what I need. The remote button is really handy. Connecting over WiFi to my phone did drain the battery quite quickly, but I don’t need to use that option much. The only difficulty I had was uploading videos and pictures from the camera but I figured it out after a little trial and error.

I have had two brands of this type of camera over the years, which I use mainly for snorkeling, - GoPro and Apeman. I found the Go Pro (one of the earlier ones) extremely difficult to use as the menu wasn't user friendly, so eventually I gave up on it. The second was an Apeman, which was much simpler to use, but the picture quality wasn't fantastic. So far this Akaso seems to be much better than my previous choices. The camera menu is simple and easy to adjust and the picture quality looks to be very good. Will be trying it out underwater next months so fingers crossed!

I needed an action camera to replace an old SJ4000 that I use for recording motorsport action from inside my car while I'm on track. This was the best balance of value, features and quality without spending hundreds. The remote start/stop is really useful and the camera does the job very well

I have purchased this, because I have one of the older 1080 cameras, that gives really excellent results, from the same manufacturer (its Chinese so their names change ever couple of weeks) On the evidence of playing with it and getting used to it - for the same duration it eats about 5x the memory that the older Cam does (which you would expect for the quality upgrade), and the image is brighter, - but doesn't look that much better (admittedly on my lap top) Masses of mounting options - all of which fit Go-Pro's and generally seems to be good value (£375-400 less than a go pro) I want this for skiing and skydiving, so when I get the opportunity to try it and do a decent comparison I will update. At the price I'm OK at taking a punt on it.

Not used it much yet, but seems really good. Main reason I chose this one, was the front facing camera, so u can actually see what you're recording yourself, which is great for the kids to make little vlog style home videos when on holiday. To change to the front facing camera just hold down the top side button. U can't use the main back touchscreen whilst recording front facing, but not an issue for me. Overall a great little action cam, especially for the price!

Multifunctioneel en werkt uitstekend. Bij langere opnamesessies sluit ik het aan op een powerbank aangezien de capaciteit van de meegeleverde accu's niet altijd voldoende is voor mij. Erg makkelijk en fijn is de meegeleverde afstandbediening. Voor mij een geweldige camera die alles heeft wat ik zoek en dat voor een scherpe prijs. Absoluut veel waar voor je geld.
