Knock-off, but functional
So this is clearly a knock-off Safariland QLS kit. When holding the Safariland and RioRand QLS kits side by side, the only immediate visual difference is the Safariland branding on both the plate and fork of the actual QLS. Both forks fit in the other's plates, and the spacing of the mount holes are identical. Even the ratchet mouldings on the rear of the plate are the same. The RioRand is made of a different type of polymer - it's actually a little more stiff than the Safariland, but in a way that feels brittle, rather than stronger. The fork and plate aren't as well finished (they're rougher to the touch) as the real QLS, so there's a lot more friction seating/unseating the fork in the plate. The hardware they provided is clearly inferior to the Safariland hardware (small phillips-head machine screws rather than the large pan-head hex screws on the real QLS), and not enough hardware was included. I got three of the large T-nuts, no small T-nuts (even though the plate is moulded to the same form factor as the real QLS including the two different size T-nut slots), and only qty 3 of one length screw, where as the real QLS contains (or should - I've had spotty issues with Safariland's packaging QC too here) both sizes of T-nuts and three lengths of screws to pair properly between holster and mount surface. As is, this package would not have had enough hardware to mount to both a holster and a mounting surface, nor would it have the hardware necessary if I wanted to use the small T-nut spaces on the plate, which I did. I ended up scavenging some small T-nuts and hardware that I wasn't using from a real QLS kit.Bottom line, for my use it gets 2 stars because I only needed this kit for the backing plate, it was cheaper to buy this whole kit anyway, and it suffices for my needs after I borrowed better hardware from a real QLS. I would never have made this purchase if I wasn't having issues finding availability of a real QLS single backing plate (I actually tried to buy one, and Amazon canceled the order due to lack of availability). If I had wanted a full "QLS" kit, I would have given this 1 star, as it came incomplete, has low-grade fasteners, and is of questionable quality.

Exact replacement for OEM product
I Purchased both the OEM and this product. I was expecting to be disappointed however this is not the case at all. The RioRand is a direct fitment and or replacement to the OEM without any modification. Bottom line is that it works as advertised and will save you money. There is a different in the fork release tension and requires less pressure to release it from the receiver plate. There is a slight difference in the installation hardware. The bolt head is a little smaller than the original but works. I have not tested the retention and cannot speak of the overall reliability of this product in a physical altercation. The only concern I have is the head size of the hardware. I would suggest using a flat washers to keep it from getting pulled through the installation holes.

Good product.
I use it with a safariland mk9 holster and it fit perfectly. I needed to adjust the hight after a few days, but it was easy enough to switch. Only complaint is the bolts don’t tighten enough to avoid minimal slipping. The holster will rotate ever so slightly. If I could id give this 4.5 stars.

Worth the buy
Screws come lose after awhile and it has a little play but overall it’s a great buy. I use mine while I’m on duty as a police officer.

Good alternative to genuine QLS for the price.
Less expensive alternative to the genuine Safariland QLS system. Works well on its own, and does interface with the Safariland brand QLS just fine. I have both and use both together on my alternate duty/range belt setup by Jones Tactical with Safariland holsters as seen in pics and haven't had any problems. A little stiff going into the genuine article maybe and the plastic feels a little less refined. Overall though I've used the Riorand QLS on duty and during training where weapon retention drills and fighting on the ground were involved. Zero issues, worked as it should. Only giving it four stars as the genuine QLS isn't that much more expensive and feels a little more well made.

Makes sitting way more comfortable!
Purchased to use on duty with my safariland low ride for when I am not going armed so I can actually use the chairs with arms comfortably. Needed to reuse factory screws on part of it because the new ones were a different thread pitch (no big deal). Have gone through range days, daily wear, and trainings and it has held up well and has not been shucked out of the holder as of yet!Just with it fit my taser holster!

Seems to be just as good as the name brand
I bought this for the reciever plate so I could mount it in my car. Also, my real Safariland QLS kit was missing the T-nuts that I needed to mount the receiver plate to my UBL, so I was able to use the ones that come with this as an added bonus. Both the RioRand fork and plate interchange with the Safariland ones with no issues. My only question would be how well the plastic holds up in comparison to the real deal, but being this is strictly being used in my car to snap my holster in place I'm not really concerned.

Good, compatible alternative to Safariland's QLS. Take note of one thing though...
The screw hardware is metric. Screws and included T-nuts are metric M4 size. If you're expecting to use screws from Safariland with these T-Nuts, they won't fit. I believe that Safariland uses 8-32 hardware with their stuff. That's a minor issue. Everything else seems like a good value. I haven't really beaten on this to see how it holds up, but so far so good.
