What is Aware Technology? Can it be turned on/off?

Aware is a level-dependent technology that uses omni-directional microphones to allow safe sounds to actively pass through the product while blocking harmful noise. Aware volume can be turned up, down, or off from the touch sensor earbuds.

Can you use Bluetooth while using Aware? Do you have to use Bluetooth to be protected?

You can use both Bluetooth and Aware at the same time. Heat activated polyurethane foam ear tips block 25 dB of noise so your hearing is always protected, even if you are not connected to Bluetooth.

How do I get the best fit from the foam earplugs?

Properly inserting your eartips provides better noise reduction and superior sound quality: Compress the foam eartip for 5 sec, pull up on your ear to open your ear canal, insert the plug into your ear and hold for 15 sec while the foam expands.

Are the silicone eartips the same for hearing protection?

The eartips that come with ISOtunes earbuds have been tested for a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR). The FREE Aware has a NRR of 25 dB while using the foam or the silicone triple flange eartips that come with the product.

Can I use one earbud at a time?

We always recommend using both earbuds for the best hearing protection and safety. However, the earbuds can work independently.
