Best pen EVER! Glad I got the โslimโ one.
Provided you donโt lose it, this is the last pen youโll ever need. Seriously, it is so incredibly sturdy. I expect it will outlast me and my children and my grandchildren. The machining is incredibly precise, the design is elegant and simple. Iโm so glad I got the slim one because it is still plenty thick. it is about the standard diameter of a regular pen. I see that some reviews had trouble with the ink. I have had no issues whatsoever, and it seems to work like a regular Parker. iโm sure many people are buying this as a โtactical โ pen and certainly it is strong enough to serve as a weapon. However, I am fortunately, enough that I donโt think I will ever have to stab someone with this pen. More important to me is how lovely it is to use every day as an actual pen. If you have ever had the misfortune of a pocket full of ink, you will appreciate the design of this pen, which is both easy to deploy, but also easy to use and will not extend by accident the push button pens can. I also appreciate the very sturdy pocket clip because I actually like to clip a pen into my pants pocket the way many people do with their pocket knives. The only possible downside is the weight which feels very nice to use, but a little heavy in my pocket. Perhaps it wouldโve been worth it to go with the titanium one, but the beauty of the stainless steel pen is truly remarkable. As you will see in my video, it appears to be a single piece of stainless steel until you unscrew the tip for ink replacement.

Awesome Stainless Steel Pen
This is a fantastic pen. I definitely prefer the slim pen compared to the original size. The slim version is roughly the same diameter as a "normal" pen, but significantly heavier. Based on that, I would definitely not say this is light weight in any sense of the word. Lighter than the original sized version sure, but heavier than probably every other pen you'd encounter in every day life by a significant margin. That said, I like the weight of this pen. Its heavy, but not too heavy. I'd call it a satisfying heavy. The bolt action mechanism is very stout and fun to play with. The machining is excellent, and its almost impossible to see the line between the main body and the tip when screwed together all the way. You can barely feel it, and if you didn't know it was there, you'd probably never see it and think it was just 1 solid piece of stainless steel that they magically got an ink cartridge inside of. I haven't really messed with the clip and probably never will, as I've pretty much never used pen clips. Seems nice though. The only quasi drawback is that it doesn't take Pilot G2 ink refills. The Pilot G2 are my favorite gel refills, but they are too big and don't even come close to fitting. The upside is there are some pretty decent gel refills available, including Bastion refills. Downside is the Bastion refills cost almost twice what the Pilot G2 refills cost. But the Bastion refills are pretty reasonably priced compared to the other metal cartridge refills of that design. Also, I don't like ball point pens, but the ball point cartridge it comes with is pretty nice with pretty decent ink. Overall, its my 2nd favorite pen. My favorite pen overall is the stainless steel pen from Luke4Deals, but that is a different type of pen with a screw on cap. However, since I brought it up, it is also alittle lighter than the Bastion Slim Bolt Action pen. I haven't weighed them, so I don't know what the weight difference is exactly, but it is noticeable. They are both weighty pens though, and I like the weight of both. Overall, its an excellent pen, and I highly recommend it

The stainless steel model is heavy
This is a good pen. It writes smoothly and the bolt action is easy to work and reliable keeps the pen in whatever state (extended or retracted) you put it in. However, the stainless steel model is really heavy. It doesn't seem that way when I hang in my badge lanyard at work, but it takes some effort to hold when writing and makes my hand tired and sore if I try to write an extended amount, for example a paragraph. I have a regular size aluminum model and it is significantly lighter. If you like a heavy pen then you will love this model. I would prefer one a little lighter and am going to replace it as my every day work pen with the silver aluminum slim model.

Instant Reaction: FINALLY!
I have been looking for a replacement to my Gerber Impromptu pen for over a year. I haven't found a "tactical" alternative, they have all been garbage. Oversized gigantic wastes of money. Immediately out of the box, I knew I'd FINALLY found a solid replacement. Quality of manufacture is superb. The weight is solid. I wanted something I could actually get aggressive with, even if it doesn't have a glassbreaker. This is a sharp looking, well finished pen. It feels great in the hand and has been polished to blend the tip into the body, making it nearly impossible to identify it isn't just one solid piece. We'll done! I highly recommend.

Best bolt-action action I've come across, smooth writing cartridge.
This is a great pen! I was interested in it for the heft (I got the stainless steel version) and the seamless design. I was hesitant about the bolt action. I have a couple of other bolt action pens (both small company/custom) and honestly I'm not a fan. Both of those were gifts given to me and while they write nice, their actions are a little awkward. Not this pen though! The action is easily the best of the 3 bolt actions I have now. It it easy to extend, easy to retract, a very natural flick of the thumb as you pick it up or put it down. The supplied cartridge writes smoothly and without skips on every kind of paper I've tried it on. This was the first bolt action I've purchased, and it is my first Bastion, probably won't be my last Bastion though. Well done!

Exploding cartridges and weak build quality
I was very disappointed with this pen. It has good weight and feels good in the hand. The bolt action is a really cool feature. However, the pen is basically unusable. The first cartridge in the pen had basically no ink and wrote poorly. I put in the addition refill that comes with the pen and that one exploded leaking ink into the pen and on my desk. I thought maybe it was a fluke and that I got unlucky with the starter cartridges. I bought a pack of cartridges from Bastian. Mind you I've had the pen a week and gone through two cartridges. The next batch had the same problem. Id use the pen for a week or two and then it would explode. At one point I had one explode in my polo leaving stains on my shirt and on the jacket I was wearing. To top it all off the pen rolled off my desk and hit the floor I went to use it and the tip of the pen had become bent and it is no longer usable. "Durability" is not the work I would use for this pen. "A waste of money" is the word I would use. You are better off sticking with G2 pens

These pens are worth the price.
I love these pens. If you don't want to see the paint scratching and flaking off from everyday use, get the titanium or stainless steel model. The same applies if you intend to carry it in your pocket every day. Titanium has the perfect weight and is super sturdy. If you like a heavier pen like I do, go with stainless steel. Anything with color is aluminum. Aluminum is good for a display or desk pen. These pens write absolutely wonderfully. The only time I have any issues is when writing on the top edge of a Post-it, where the glue from the previous Post-it leaves glue residue.

Good Pen With Different Refills
I really like this pen, it has good balance and feels good when you are writing, I got the slim stainless steel version and I highly recommend this particular version. The machining is so accurate that is impossible for me to distinguish where the cap of the pen screws onto the body. Iโm impressed with the build of the pen but the problem I had with it was the cartridge it came with skipped almost completely with every other letter consistently, which can be quite annoying. So I bought a set of Parker pen cartridges replacements which these fit perfectly and write smoothly and seamlessly every time. This makes the perfect combination and I would highly recommend!
