Been using this for months, so safe to review. It's slightly bulky, but the best pen I've found for my use. Highly recommend. I usually keep a pen in my pants pocket. Push buttons are undesirable bc they tend to push while in your pocket and can make a mess. Also, the design of the push button generally makes the pen stick out too far. Twist pens are easier to find with the clip closer to the top, but they tend to untwist themselves and come apart in your pocket. Both issues are addressed by this design. When I inevitably lose this one, I will buy another.

Pen is awesome, but the ink only lasted 2 uses. Hopefully i can get a replacement.

This brand produces extremely well constructed writing instruments that feel great in your hand. If you enjoy writing, this is for you. If not, their pens may lead you to reconsider.

I owned an early version of the Bastion bolt action pen but it was very bulky and heavy. When i used it my fingers kinda hurt. The slim fit much better and the aluminum feels lighter and easier to use. i haven't tried the steel ones, maybe one day, but the aluminum slim feels waaaay better. And its cheaper than the other high quality slim bolt action pens. Highly recommend.

The pen feels great in your hand and good weight. Boot action is smooth and feels solid. Writes decent. Reason for 3 stars is that it claimed to work with G2 model refills (I wanted a solid pen that I could put .5mm Pilot G2 ink in) and they don’t even remotely come close to fitting. I did order the Bastion gel ink which is also pretty smooth, but ultimately I felt misled which lead to the lower rating.

The pen is sturdy and writes well.

Writes poorly, the ink cartridge in the pen was not writing smoothly and the spare cartridge was the same.....not great.
