Verizon/Fios Home Router G3100

I’m currently using this Verizon Fios G3100 Router as I write this review, and it has been a solid performer. A must-do step during the ease of setup is performing a full factory reset to ensure your security and traffic aren't compromised by previous settings. The stability and coverage are excellent, easily reaching every corner of my home with a strong signal. It has a sleek, modern look that fits well anywhere, and the compatibility with my existing Fios service was seamless. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money for anyone needing a reliable tri-band router.

G3100 FIOS Router (Vendor FlakNet) delivered on time and as described, well packaged. Works perfectly, no problems as frequently reported on 'Net regarding dropped wifi signals and MOCA connection issues. Initially had some of those issues but ALL went away when I initialized and started and set up with single ethernet cable to my computer, then added peripherals (including second remote G1100 router over Moca, TIVO devices and multiple RaspberryPi sbc's ). Excellent router, speed showing 1.2 gbps over 5G at about 10feet.

No more flashing lights. Solid state 3 ban router. Very easy setup.

The router works great and was easy to set up. I have better range and faster speed for sure. Wireless 118 down and 110 up, which is great since I technically only have 75/75 from FIOS and was only really seeing about half of that before. No complaints other than this is obviously a refurb. The box looked like it was new 10 years ago, there was no bag or anything protecting the router, just a plain router stuck in the old box, and the power supply may be new but it was also provided in a bag that looks like it had been around the block a few times. I think the only new component provided is the ethernet cable. In any case, don't expect a new product, but it does work as advertised. To be safe I did a factory reset as well as changing all the default passwords and IDs. Who knows where this thing has been. TLDR, worth the money compared to the $400 that Verizon wants for the same thing, but don't expect a new product even though that's how it's advertised. Amazon needs to enforce this better to ensure we're actually getting a new product and not something that's refurbished, especially if it's sent from their warehouse through Prime.

I purchased the “New” version of this router and it is very clearly not “New”. It is stained with cigarette smoke, there is a scratch on the side, the password for the router has been changed, and I am unable to connect to the wifi through it. Total waste of time.
