Very easy to change if you have a 1.5 inch socket. No need to drain the water heater, just turn off the water and open the hot water side in the sink. Let all of the air out and close the faucet.Get a tall skinny water bottle and cut it in half length-wise and make a chute out of it and place under the heating element when changing and have that run into a pan or tray. The heating element comes off and you can quickly put the new one on. Works great.

This element will keep the water from freezing in a livestock drinking tank when the winter gets too cold. Use with a suitable thermostat.....Your horses will be happy.

This is a replacement thermostat for Hey, water heater, but it's not even close to the quality of the factory. It will serve its purpose.
