Works, display does not always illuminate
This Dashcam Hardware(HW) kit has a USB-C connector and worked with my Redtiger F7N Touch. One BIG plus is that the dashcam starts up much quicker. With the standard ACC adapter, the F7N takes an excruciating 21 seconds to start recording. I can be well on the road by then. With the HW kit, the dashcam switches from parking mode to recording in a second or two.It also displays the voltage of the battery and the cutoff voltage. I stuck it to my dash so I can see these voltages easily, but you can easily put it near your fuse box if you want it out of sight. The kit comes with a bunch of 'Fuse Taps' so you can find B+ and ACC power. I had to use a voltmeter to find the active side of the fuse after removing the fuse because the power side was not always on the 'top.'I cracked the case open and I did not see any red-flags with the the electronics - it looks well built. Below are the connections from the Regulator to the USB-C pins. This is important because the dashcam needs to get constant power for its time-lapse parking monitor mode and needs to know when the car is started (ACC goes active) to start live recording, and these signals need to be on the correct pins.Below are the connections from the HW kit wires to the USB-C conector.Red Tiger HW kit USB-C PinoutBlack wire: USB-C pins B1,B12 A1,A12 (All GND pins)Yellow wire: Battery+ USB-C pins A4,A9 & B4,B9 (All VBUS pins)Red wire: Switched Acc USB-C pins A5,A8 & B5,B8 (cc1,sbu1,cc2,sbu2)The F7N seems satisfied with receiving the ACC signal on just the cc1/cc2 pins, and this seems to be a dashcam 'standard' if you can call it that. This was verified by using a generic HW kit that did not have connections to sbu1, sbu2.The battery protection cutoff voltage is adjustable with 3 cutoff voltage choices and a digital voltage display, which can be nice to monitor your battery condition. The only issue I have with this HW kit is that sometimes the display does not light up, making me think it is not working. When I start the car, my dashcam starts up but the display does not illuminate with ACC. If I move the voltage cutoff switch, then the display lights up, displays the new cutoff voltage, then it displays ACC. So a minor 'glitch' in the display, but overall it seems to work.

Nice upgrade needed for parking mode on dash cam
First one purchased failed after about 8 minutes of use. Called Redtiger directly and was shipped a replacement with no hassles. Replacement arrived in a couple days as promised and is working perfectly. Easy to install and great upgrade from the plug in power supplied with the camera

Awesome for WolfBox Tacoma
Perfect for WolfBox Tripro dash cam camera mirror for 3rd gen Tacoma. Exactly what I needed to hard wire it to the fuses under the dash. Easy, great piece of kit here!!! Low voltage cut off offers me peace of mind (the wolf box has one as well). Overall will buy again.

Great product with pretty limited instructions.
The quality of the product is great. It comes with a tool to pull panels off if you need, and comes with tap-ins for most if not all cars. It's up to you to determine which fuses to tap into, you need to tap into one fuse with constant power (something that is always on) and one fuse with accessory power (something that's on only when the car is on).The taps all have 2 slots for fuses to go, YOU NEED TO KEEP THE 15a FUSE THAT COMES WITH THE TAP ON. Put the fuse you're tapping into in the other slot on the tap. It won't work unless both fuses are in the tap. This isn't made clear in any part of the instructions, and confused the hell out of me.Overall the product is good and functions as it should, but the unclear instructions made the install a little bit of a pain and took a bit for me to figure out. Hope this review helps someone out who ends up in a similar situation to me.

Reliable and saves battery
Fairly basic to use, and install. Bought this to provide power to the very nice REDTIGER T700 Rear View Mirror Camera model. Installed it in Sprinter van (2020) by tapping fuse panel beneath passenger footwell. Ran cable up behind panel to right of passenger footwell, positioning the voltage limit sensor box behind this panel, close to the top just below the dash, then continued USB portion of cable up behind the A pillar, making sure not to interfere with air bags, then fished usb wire though small cavity above top of the windshield and out plastic housing at rear view mirror finally to the T700 dash cam, with about 2 inches of wire to spare. This kit has a small in-line "voltage limit sensor box" which can be set by a switch for 12.4, 12.0, or 11.6 volts which, if unit senses power drop below any of these three levels, it will discontinue power to the T700 thereby saving you from running down the car battery if car sits for long periods. The T700 does have feature to record when away from vehicle for security reasons and will continue record until this power kit senses battery voltage falls below the set value, shutting the RedTiger Dash cam down until it gets full voltage again when vehicle is restarted.

Cable not long enough for a small SUV, but a solution was provided by customer service
The black cable from the box to the c plug was too short for my vehicle.I am upgrading to 5 stars, because I called Red Tigerโs customer service. I left a message and they called me back the same day and offered to send me a longer hardwiring kit at no cost. They also told me I did not need to send back the original one.

Donโt buy this if you plan on using parking mode - it wonโt help you
I purchased this camera and hardwire kit with about a one month timeframe before moving to another city. The goal was essentially to use parking mode as a second set of eyes on my car because this city is known for damage and break-ins to personal vehicles.Installation was fairly straightforward. Anybody that can operate a smartphone could navigate the settings on one of these cameras. I would say that the memory card provided is pretty small and once the camera starts recording, you notice there wonโt be space for very much footage - especially if you intend to capture videos in parking mode. The problem I had was communication between the app, the camera, and the hardwire kit. There was always some sort of issue! This hardwire kit is fairly easy to install. One wire goes to the ground, one to a constant hot (such as the battery) so it always has power, and the last wire to ACC (some sort of accessory) which has power when the car is on, but turns off when you shut the car off. We tried many variations of ACC and constant connection, made sure there was proper voltage, even purchased a larger memory card, tested and REtested the connection with an electric light tester, etc. The camera was always showing it had power and that it was recording when it should have been, but the footage wouldnโt be there from when the camera should have been recording in parking mode. All settings for parking mode were arranged. The camera recognized the hardwire kit and displayed a large โPโ on it which is the icon for parking mode, but again, there was never any footage. After all of this, I reached out to RedTiger customer service AND tech support. They STARTED off nice. In supportโs first response, they said rest assured if I followed the troubleshooting they sent me and it didnโt work, they would replace my items. Well, guess what? The troubleshooting didnโt work and then they jerked me around, asked me a million more questions, asked for photos, the whole nine yards. I sent everything they asked for, even more, and maybe that was my mistake. Next, they would say oh I need another photo or send me another troubleshooting list even though they sent that same one to me 2 emails prior. I mean how different can a fuse box look from one photo to another? You canโt exactly cram a phone or camera up there to take a photoโฆWell, now I have jerked around with this camera, hardwire kit, and these customer/tech โsupportโ people for almost a month. The camera arrived on March 4th and it is now March 26th. Of course this is a long review, and if youโre still with me, I applaud you. Save yourself the time, energy, stress, and sanity. Do NOT buy this camera/hardwire kit especially if you plan on using the parking mode! After this disaster, I purchased the ROVE brand dual dash cam. It took the same amount of time to set up as this travesty. The ROVE camera announces when it is switching modes (you can also turn that feature off), Parking mode on/off, recording, stop recording, Wi-Fi on, WiFi off, etc. The best part is - all of my footage is there! It has been like night and day.Good luck to all of you folks. I hope you find the camera that fits your needs!

Works great and easy to install. A few tips here
This did just the trick for concealing the power for my F7N Touch dash cam! A few things I will say that I don't remember reading in other reviews, and in case it helps others. One review said they noticed the accessory and constant power wires were mislabeled relative to the instructions, but that was not my experience. Unless I misread the instructions, I was confused why the appropriate fuse taps for my car came with a generic 10 amp fuse preinstalled and had an fuse empty slot below, surely a rookie mistake but I soon found that blank fuse slot on the taps are where I put my vehicle's original fuse that I pulled out, I guess the vehicle fuse I put in the empty slot is supposed to protect the actual equipment assigned to that fuse and the pre-installed fuse is to protect the camera. Lastly, I used my audio fuse as the accessory tap thinking surely that would be ideal because anytime the car is not on or in accessory mode my entire audio system is off. However, when my dash cam would never turn off after connecting it, I realized the audio fuse was actually hot constantly/ all of the time. I didn't have a micrometer to test the fuse, so I just assumed the audio would be a good accessory tap but that wasn't the case. So if you don't have a multimeter to check when a certain fuse is hot and when it's not, this is just something to keep in mind that's something you think could be a good accessory tap might not actually be. Again might be a rookie mistake on my part but maybe this helps somebody else in the future. In general I found the kit fairly easy to install, and I'm not using parking mode right now but it's nice to know I can, I might test it out in the future but I am worried about how quickly it will drain my car battery if the car is sitting for a couple of days (I have a portable jump starter so not a big deal of it dies but still... Not ready to test the waters with parking mode yet). In general, I would recommend this hardwire kit! Some of the hardwire external backup power source kits would also be a great option but those are much more expensive

works well, easy to use, good instructions
This kit works well - allows the camera to go into parking mode - comes with everything you need and is easy to use. The cable that goes to the front camera could be longer (so I could site the control box where I wanted it) but I managed quite well. Decent value for money - it makes my camera look professionally fitted.

Vrij korte draden USB-C
Uitdokteren welke zekeringen te gebruiken in de auto was nog een hele klus en de usb-c kabel naar de dashcam was net te kort.
