I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. 0.5mm is smaller than I thought, looks like less than 0.5 but at that size, hard to tell, really.... first thing I thought when I got it was "WOW! that is tiny!" Looks like thread, but for its size, it is VERY tough. I tried it for my application and decided I need to use slightly larger diameter line, but again, that is my bad for not thinking how small .5mm would be. It handles and seems to hold knots well. For kicks I made a couple loops and made prussiks - they function fine even though are tiny. 5-star for the 0.5mm size==================For some reason, I can't write separate review for purchase of larger cord of same type I bought - 1.3mm. Maybe because same Amazon listing with different sizes of same item? I dunno. This size worked for my application. I expected 1.3mm to be to big and a little too stiff, but it works great. It is very supple, handles well, and holds the knots I've used so far. I have some other HMWPE in slightly larger and expected this 1.3mm to be stiffer but it is just right for my application. It is hollow braid and separates fine if you work at it a bit; if I had a small enough fid / loop, I expect I could splice it (I have had good luck splicing similar cord in larger diameter from Emma Kites). Great cord. 5-stars.

I needed a strong, lightweight line to attach to an arrow tip..The snow storms left broken tree branches hanging up .. Perfect Shot! I pulled em hard , the direction I wanted with the 350lb Emma Kites UHMWPE with no stretch or line breakage..it’s also now my 1st go to utility tie down line material .

I've used these to separate glass that was glued to a frame. I'd bet they will work great for windshields too. I'm also using them for lanyards for my pocket flashlight and probably other things soon. When stressed, the black color seems to turn slightly white, but still holding strong for multiple repeated uses. Would buy again and likely try a thinner version later too.

If you need whipping twine that absolutely, positively won't break, this is it! Small enough to sew through your lines and wicked strong!
