Prefect for a child who is trying to read on his own. The language used is simple. The sentences are short and words used are easy to follow. I bought it for my daughter in kindergarten. We read it together only once, and now she reads on her own. The book is worth buying. I recommend it. Review: Love - Great for new readers

Great Book for Beginning Readers
We love these books for our beginning readers who are entering 1st grade. We bought quite a few to make sure they weren’t impacted by the summer slide. I love that the font is large and there are many slight words included so that my child can easily recognize a few while I help him sound out / read the new ones. They’re great about repeating the same words so that they start to feel more comfortable recognizing them and reading them in the future. The illustrations are also great - they hold their attention well. Once our child reads these books 2-3 times they are quick enough to read before bedtime. There’s nothing worse than a book that takes too long and you have to battle with them to take a break and pick it back up tomorrow because it’s getting late and they need to go to sleep. I’ve found that Amazon carry’s many more options for these than our local Target.

Returned, disjointed story
This one had so much potential! The story is disjointed and there isn't really any conclusion as to whether or not the small troll gets its gem. Returned it.

Disney Frozen Northern Lights book
This book is ok for an advanced level 2 reader, based on a lot of names like Kristoff, Sven, Grand Pabbie, etc. The story itself makes no sense whatsoever, and I can tell my little one is confused by it. The ice on the river is too thin, and the littlest person in the group starts to fall through it. Then Elsa makes a bridge for crossing the river. The characters are crossing the bridge, and then there is no bridge and the characters are crossing the river on sleds. Then the story just sort of stops.
