When you close it, does "slam shut"? I'm looking for a magnetized case that does not make a loud "snapping" sound when closing.

No it doesn't slam shut or snap. I have one of those "slams shut" cases and I've actually gotten my fingers caught in it! This one shuts softly. I got the pink, suede case. I don't know if they are all built the same.
