I took awile to review this holster. So I have a pretty strong opinion about it. It took a few days for the leather to form properly around the pistol but after that it is Flat out possibly the best IWB holster you can get for your 1911. Made in the USA with thick beautiful leather this holster is simple yet has many advantages. Pros: Thick Beautiful leather Perfect metal clip stays in your pants even Without a belt Warranty, Made in USA Does not wear on finish of gun Comfortable against skin Matches 1911 style Fits picatanny equiped 1911s Covers ambidexterous safety both sides Cons: Brief break in period Some leather fuzzies on sight if sharp like trijicon night sights Both cons are a stretch and are to be expected. On blade style 1911 there will be no leather fuzzies on the front blade but for a while they will show up if you have a sharper set like the Trijicons. I love this holster, it is a great value, looks great I got the brown but it has burgandy tones in the thick leather and it has a style that matches my 1911 better than all plastic clamshell holsters without marrong the slide not to mention more comfortable and less bulky than some paddle set up. Perfect addition to my Springfield Champion Loaded Operator LW which is a commander sized 1911 with a picatanny rail. Love to carry this gun now and this holster has alot to do with that.

I was skeptical at first that a holster with such a low price tag could be a quality item. I was wrong. The leather is gorgeous. It is very well made and functions perfectly. Very comfortable too. Fit on the firearm is snug enough you can invert it and it will not slip out. Drawing and re-holstering is smooth. It will not collapse after the draw. Highly recommended!

I just received this in the mail today so keep that in mind when reading this review. The holster arrived in high quality plastic packaging and it included some literature that went over the do's and don'ts, the break-in process, and general care and maintenance of the product. I really like how this holster comes with a lifetime warranty and is 100% made in the USA. The leather smells great and is of high quality; double stitching in high traffic areas. The metal clip feels very durable and I envision it lasting for a very long time; a lifetime. I purchased this to carry a Springfield 1911 loaded with Trijicon night sights. I do need to break this in as it is very tight and I cannot draw my weapon properly as-is, the manual indicated that this is normal and will loosen up over time. The manual also mentions that you can accelerate the break-in process by wrapping a grocery bag around your weapon, stuffing it in the holster, and letting it sit for 24 hours, I may try the acceleration procedure. Of course, it is too early to speak for the longevity of this item but I feel confident enough to leave this review prematurely as the manufacturer explicitly states that there is a no questions asked return/exchange policy. I think $40 is a tremendous value for a high quality leather holster made right here in the USA. Pictures are included. 2A!!!!

Well made good quality good value. Inside the belt will never be as comfortable as the old WWII out side tge belt But still a great holster, I would buy it again.

Pros: This product exceeded my expectations. The leather work is fine and the dye is beautiful. It was hard to find a holster to fit a TRP operator full rail but this holster was able to fit (using plastic bag method to break in). The clip retention is great, I perform regular practice draws and it has not pulled the holster out once. Cons: Only complaint is that it would be nice to have a forward canted version since I have to forward cant to conceal properly with gov't size. Note that this is a leather holster and you should not expect the same kind of draw you get out of a full or partial kydex holster - you will have to practice to determine how to best carry and draw from this holster. The interior is soft and will grab onto certain sights. Other thoughts: I purposely found a leather holster because full kydex (my other holster is a T1C) wore the finish off of my slide from daily wear (not even drawing, just wearing) - if you have a nice pistol that you want to keep looking showroom quality, then you'll have to make sacrifices in usability to prevent wear on your slide. This leather holster is much more comfortable for EDC than a full kydex holster. I may have opted for a half kydex holster like AlienGear but I have not been able to find one for a TRP operator full rail so I went with this and I'm happy enough. Bottom line: highly recommend this product, especially for TRP operator with full rail.

Right out of the box this is what I was looking for to take care of my S&W1911PD. Its a full size 1911 that sits at home too much because I just didn't know for sure what to get for it. I wanted something that would not only fit well in the waistband but would also give me the gun fit I wanted. I took a gamble and came up a winner with the Relentless Tactical Defender. Take a look at my photos, I provided an open end view so you can see how far the pistol rests down in the holster, its about a dime distance away from the barrel to the end of the holster for this particular gun. The S&W1911PD slide measures out to just about 6 3/4 inches (8.0 overall gun length) and holster clearance measurement from front end to trigger guard is 3", so you can see that it fits VERY NICELY. Comfort level is excellent with this holster and I find that the clip is sufficiently tight enough that its not going to try and come out with the gun on a draw. We'll see how that lasts over time because now that I have a viable holster, guess who gets to start going to more dinners and movies with me? (All you 1911 guys and gals out there appreciate the love fest we have with these things right?) Plus wow, it looks great too! Not that I really care about that as much, but it doesn't hurt to have a handsome companion for your pistol. Just want to add my apologies for the desk shadows in the pics. I actually scratched the crown of the holster putting the gun in the safe, very minor and nobody's fault but my own - just adds character and an ownership mark. :) Shipment was fast, discreet enough packaging and right on time. Pretty impressed with Relentless so far! Keep up the great work of getting quality products. Would not hesitate to order again. Respectfully, yours.

What an amazing holster! Took a little while for the leather to break in and get used to the gun but after a week or two everything works great!
