I needed a few capacitors for a recent hifi repair project and this pack looked like a good option since it included a variety. The capacitors I used all measured within a small tolerance of the expected values. Hopefully they will last OK but for now they work as expected.

I bought the 670 piece Electrolytic Capacitor Kit. I have other boxes of Aukenien componants for small electronics projects and have always been pleased by the quality and price. I would award 5 stars had the box been slightly bigger to comfortably accommodate so many parts - take care that they don't fall into the wrong compartments! Having said that I doff my cap to whoever managed to fit so many bits into such a small box!

NICE SET IF YOU ARE JUST GETTING INTO ELECTRONICS, THEN AFTER 40 YEARS OF DOING IT THEY ARE GOOD FOR SPARES.

First things first: these aren't good quality electrolytic capacitors. All of them measured lower than the rated capacitance and some were well out of tolerance (as in: significantly more than 20%). That said, they are cheap (average 2.2p per cap) and will be absolutely fine for many low-voltage hobby projects provided the values aren't super-critical and the capacitors won't be used anywhere near their maximum ratings. It's nice just to have a big bucket of hundreds of caps of different values that you can just throw into projects and experiments, and that's all this is. I wouldn't be using any of these caps for a power supply application or to repair a device I care about. Or for anything I was going to ship to a customer. But that's really not what these are for.
