Such perfect eggs it could make me cry
I’ve never been able to fully get soft boiled eggs right with the standard boiling procedure and peeling them would be such a hassle afterwards which led to breaking off too much egg. But this egg cooker is a life changer. No joke. It steams them up super fast, in less time than it takes me to take a quick shower as I get ready for my day. Once the beeper goes off and I rinse off with cold water they are DONE. Perfect soft boiled eggs every single time and i don’t know how I kept doing it the hard way my whole life. This egg cooker is one of the best kitchen tools I’ve ever bought. Super easy to operate, easy to clean, small size, and straightforward to follow the directions. Just one press of a button and you are set. I absolutely love this thing.

Reliable & Easy Egg Cooker for Perfect Results Every Time
I've been using this egg cooker for a few weeks now and I'm very impressed. It lets me cook up to seven eggs at once with different doneness levels (soft, medium, hard) by simply adjusting the water level. The included measuring cup and automatic shut-off make it practically foolproof. Many users report consistently well-cooked eggs with easy-to-peel shells. It's compact, easy to clean, and nice to have when you want breakfast prep done quickly. One thing to watch: you'll need to experiment a little with the water level for perfect results, especially if you're using eggs of varying sizes. Overall, great value and a smart kitchen gadget for anyone who eats eggs regularly.

Great little egg cooker! UPDATE 10/8/20
UPDATE: 8 months later and still loving this egg cooker! Perfect HB eggs, easy to clean and store. As mentioned in my previous review, this SS model was not supposed to have the buzzer, but it does and I'm glad. I get distracted and completely forget about the eggs...haha. My method is still to put them in a bowl without water when they're done for 45 minutes or so. I found that after the 45 minutes if I then rinse in cold water enough to handle them, they peel SUPER easy. I only do this if I'm using them all within a day or so. They still peel easy even if refrigerated in the shell. ---------------------------------------- I chose this egg cooker because of the stainless steel lid - I prefer that over plastic. It was smaller than I expected, but that makes it very cute! I also wanted one that didn't have the annoying sound when the eggs are done, which this one isn't supposed to have. But it does! It isn't as loud as the example in the video someone posted, so no heart attacks over here. It holds 7 eggs. I used extra large eggs in my first round, which didn't work great because they were too big and prevented the lid from seating correctly. They came out a bit underdone for hard cooked since steam was escaping from the bottom of the lid. Instead of rinsing them in cold water to stop them from cooking, I let them sit in a bowl for about 30 minutes to continue cooking. This made them perfect. My second and third round I used large eggs and they fit correctly. I still let them sit in a bowl for a bit without a cold water rinse and then put them in the fridge. They generally peel nicely, and for the ones that are a bit more difficult I peel while running under water and that helps a lot. You're supposed to poke a hole in the fat end of the egg before cooking. The pin that is attached to the little water measuring cup works fine, however some eggs have thicker shells so for those I use medium pressure while twisting the pin back and forth to make the hole. I love this little cooker so far! I like hard boiled eggs and egg salad, but cooking eggs the traditional way with a pot of water is kind of a pain. This little thing makes it very easy, and again, it's damned cute!

The buzzer won’t turn off by itself !! That’s the only issue with this egg cooker..Other than that it’s a good product

Elite Gourmet EGC-508
Used for 3 weeks now. Unlike other small egg cookers with plug/unplug on/off control. This one has an alarm, power button and light. Follow the instructions and it works well. I usually make hardboiled eggs and unplug when done. I usually leave the eggs in the cooker (really a steamer, timed by the amount of water added) for about another two or 3 minutes to insure well hardboiled before placing in ice water. The only issue I've seen is that the cover is small for x-large eggs. It will cover, but touch the egg shells. Not seen any bad effects from this though. My "opinion" is this may not work well for larger eggs. Alarm works well and noise level perfect for me. Super functional due to small size. And, eggs strangely, taste like ... hardboiled eggs. Easy to use. Only minor cleaning required. Lastly, if placed and leave in Ice water, easy to peel. Less easy to peel if placed in refrigerator in my experience.

Wow, it. . . Works really well.
So I do the fast and feast diet and eat eggs on my fast day because protein 'kills' hunger, and I can survive off about 4 eggs and that is well below the 600 calorie limit of my fast days. Hard boiled is by far the easiest and doesn't need any calorie rich oils. I have been cooking them in my electric pressure cooker, which works really well also, but I really only need 4. If you need a lot of hard boiled eggs say for Easter, egg salad, or deviled eggs a pressure cooker is the way to go as you can do over a dozen at a time but if all you need is 7 or less I think this one is the way to go. Also, it is a lot easier to get liquid yokes with this one than it is a pressure cooker. Oh, also I like how most of the parts of this specific egg cooker is metal. Any microplastics would be on the shell anyway but I'd rather have metal or glass. The omelette and poaching trays are still plastic but I'm sure if I got a small glass or metal bowl that would work.

Does perform its job once you get the hang of it, but overall a low-quality device
This egg cooker does its job well once you get the hang of it, but I would not say it is altogether well designed. Here's how it works: the device consists of a heating element at the bottom that you fill up with water. The eggs are placed on a tray above this water, and then you put the lid on, covering the eggs. When the device is turned on, the water is boiled, and thus your eggs are steamed. When there is no more water, an alarm sounds, indicating your eggs are ready. In order to reach your desired "doneness" for your eggs (softboiled, hardboiled, etc.), you need to steam more or less, and this is determined by the amount of water you put in the tray. More water takes more time to fully evaporate away, and thus more time before the alarm sounds. So it's all about figuring out how much water you need to get your eggs the way you like. Once you do this, you can get quite consistent performance with this device. That's the good part. What I don't like: - I bought stainless steel because I wanted to avoid heating plastic where my food is, but the handles for the egg tray are still plastic (see picture), so while there is less plastic than the other models, there is still some plastic. I can live with that because the eggs have a shell, but still, there are probably microplastics getting on the outside of the shell, which I have to touch to peel, and thus it is probably in some way transferring to the egg in the process of taking off the shell. Not ideal, but whatever. - The included manual gives you the time for cooking eggs to your desired doneness, but this is useless information. The only information that one needs to use this product successfully is the amount of water that needs to be used for a given number of eggs. It's not a huge deal to figure this out yourself, but why not just put the correct values in the manual? - They offer a measuring cup (see picture) with some the lines that you should fill the water to get your desired doneness, but they are not accurate in my experience. They should have just made it like a measuring cup with lines from top to bottom and then users can mark with a sharpie what levels work for them. The tricky part is that it varies slightly depending on how many eggs you are cooking. For those using this device for the first time, here is what's worked for me with 4 eggs if you want soft-boiled = a hair above the "omelet poach" line (still below the text). I generally don't go for hard-boiled, but a nice level where it's still moist, with a mostly yellow center that won't run if held upside down; i.e. not to the point where it's dry and chalky, is about half-way between the "hard" and "omelet poach" lines. - The device just feels like cheap plastic crap that will break down in a few years. The button to turn on the device feels like it will break in a few years. Don't buy this expecting any kind of quality or craftsmanship. - The alarm sound is annoying and does not turn off itself. It appears it will just run forever until you stop it, even though fortunately the heating element will shut off automatically. - The plastic inserts are useless and should just be recycled: it is widely advised for health reasons to not cook/heat your food in plastic containers.

No more stove top!
I was tired of boiling over the stove so I selected this to make my hard boiled eggs I like. They came out perfect and better than I have ever had.

works perfectly
I don't cook at all really, but needed something to make eggs. First I washed the machine when it arrived, assembled it, plugged it in and added water for 2 hard boiled eggs. I did not use the piecing pin. It took about 11 minutes to the beep. I ran both eggs under cold water for 1 minute and then shelled them. Much to my surprise they were the most perfect hard boiled eggs I've ever eaten. I mean they were astoundingly perfect with bright yellow centers, no running, but not overcooked either.. What's more the machine had zero mess to clean, the stainless tray was still clean, the inside of the stainless cover had moisture on it a quick rinse and they were both ready for the next use. Very Highly recommended.

Egg so easy
So this product brags that it is so easy to make soft or hard-boiled eggs without standing over the stove waiting for the pot to boil. This product does not lie - this is a practical little piece of equipment - sturdy - cleans well - works well BUT....there is no alert noise to tell you when the eggs are done besides the machine switching off. I am glad I purchased this product and do recommend it. Eggs were hard-boiled as expected. If your on a road trip and want to do your own little room service with eggs, French baguette, ham and cheese this would work well. Small and easy to store
