Is this tonic sweet? not what i'm looking for. with honey as the second ingredient, i have to wonder. would prefer that to be a subtle note.

It is not too sweet. The rest of the flavors are bold, horseradish, garlic, habanero etc and the honey just smooths out the bite. If you try it let us know what you think!

Is it hot since it has peppers in it?

Yes, it is spicy. Lots of people love that about Fire Cider but if you prefer less heat you can dilute it in water or juice.
