Can this be wired into the mains?

No. To connect to the main you need the FireAngel Pro FIREANGEL PRO HT-230 BATTERY BACKUP HEAT ALARM , which is mains powered and has a backup battery in the event of mains power failure. Amazon doesnt sell the, but you can get them cheap from screwfix

No. Also it states it lasts 10 years, I’ve had it replaced already and now the replacement alarm battery has gone with 5 years left on it. I now avoid FireAngel.
