Q: Is it very fragile? Is the base heavy? Thank you

The crystal ball is fragile. It is not thick enough to resist if it falls to the floor, let's say, from a low table lamp. The base is heavy enough for holding the crystal ball, but if the cable is inadvertently pulled (like how it happened to a similar lamp we had before), it will easily slide on the surface it is placed. I bought two for my children (they were 15 and 11 years old when I bought the lamps), and they keep their lamps like this: on bookshelves they have in their rooms, with the power cables through a little hole at the back of the bookshelves. They love their lamps very much. Don't buy this lamp for small children, because when they break, they shatter in many sharp pieces, and they can break easily.
