Love these trekking poles! Lightweight, easy to break down, and comfortable grips.

I’m 5’9” and the lowest setting is just right. If you’re shorter, this won’t work. I’m partially paralyzed and use one stick for stability every day, even when walking the dog. This stick is comfortable and when I need to break it down (restaurants, planes and Ubers), it’s easy to handle and folds up to a small package. I can easily manage putting it together with one almost useless hand. I’m frankly amazed that the little thumb release works so well. It’s never collapsed on me unexpectedly. Not once. I did buy the rubber tip, which is necessary for almost everything I do.

Light and sturdy walking poles. Bought them for El Camino de Santiago and they are a must. Very comfy and ergonomic, when folded they fit a small carry on.

Great Poles, however, I had to return them. Found them at a much lower cost. No reflection on the poles.

I’m preparing for a series of spring through late fall backing packing trips starting with the Grand Canyon and the heading to the Eastern Sierra for summer and fall backpack and climbing trips. I’ve had many trekking poles over the years and these are simply the best, in terms of light weight, ease of use & ease of transporting them to & from the hike.

Lowering the rating to 1 as it broke after 14 month -- the tip bent and broke off, the pole latch stripped. My previous comment -- The compact size was the selling point for this nearly $200 hiking poles. Otherwise, a pair of $20 hiking poles from Costco would just serve the same purposes.
