How long will the glue stay adhered to skin on the the scalp area, with regular bathing and exercising?  Will it remain adhered through hair regrowth?

Hello Carrie,   tI will adhere through hair.  It stays on 7-14 days and will come off naturally  your body oil with cause it to release when its time.  I cant tell you if its hard to get out of hair.  I would think it should be easy.  As for showering I try to never get the glued wound wet or just light washing. also depending on the size of the wound you might want to shave a small area around the wound.  And also if you have steri strips they work great.  you cut them down in size and use them over the glue and wound they act as a butterfly giving the glue extra support.  I hope this works.  Kevin

How many uses can you get from this product and what is the shelf life after opening?

Hello, I have bought mine in Nov 2016 and it says that shelf life is until March 2018. So I'm guessing the shelf life is about 1.5 years when you keep it in the fridge. As far as how many uses you get out of it will depend on the size of the cuts. I have used it about 30-40 times on my fingers for small cuts and still have about half a tube left. It works great. I play ice hockey and when a friend cut his chin with a put we used the glue as opposed to stiches to fix it. I hope this helps.

Will or will not this hold a gash approx. 1/2" closed while it heals without the use of a band-aid or stitches???? Thanks.

Doctors with more experience may choose to utilize a skin adhesive on wounds longer than 10 cm. So yes, it is possible to use Skinstitch on a wound 1/2" depending on varying factors. Consideration must be given to variables such as depth and location of the wound. Thus, shallow wounds and lacerations not near stress areas will likely benefit from closure with a skin adhesive alone.
