Winner, Winner. Cake Pops After Dinner!
TRY IT!!! Are you paying a bit more than having to hunt & peck the supplies yourself? Yes. BUT it’s WORTH IT. I gave this the true kid-friendly test of giving my tween son & daughter (12 & 10) the box and plunking myself on the couch. They worked together and it was magical. My son helped my daughter with the oven, and my daughter helped him with reading certain directions. I did not help at all, and they were able to complete the task from start to finish, and everyone enjoyed a tasty reward at the end. Things I overheard were “so far, kids CAN do this”, “this looks kind of good now”, “you might be the world’s messiest cook”, “[we] don’t need help”, and my favorite, when it came to putting things in the oven, was “I’m responsible, you are not.” The sound of my kids getting along and working together was the best part. No screens, no expensive outing, just doing something fun together. This age is also hard for birthday presents; This is a unique and fun idea that is more thoughtful and productive than Vbucks or Robux! I’m looking forward to having them make me some other kits, like the soft pretzels; and the subscription feature is definitely something I will consider. The value is in the ease and enjoyability.

Perfect Baking Fun for Little Kids!
The Baketivity DIY Cake Pop Baking Kit for Kids was such a great time for me and my five‑year‑old! The pre‑measured ingredients are a lifesaver—they make it simple for younger kids to follow along without getting overwhelmed, and it really helps them feel like they’re doing everything “all by themselves.” The instructions were easy to follow, the decorating supplies were adorable, and we had so much fun putting everything together. Best of all, the cake pops came out delicious and looked great too! My little one was so proud of the final result. If you’re looking for a fun, mess‑friendly activity that combines baking, creativity, and quality time, this kit is a fantastic choice.

Fun but supervision required
Cute kit but my 9 yr old still needed some help with the mixing of crumbled cake and frosting . We baked ours in an 8 x 8 pan lined with parchment and it turned out beautiful. It took about 19 minutes to bake. It also required a bit of patience as you need to let the cake cool COMPLETELY before you make the cake balls (don’t make the frosting until your cake is cool otherwise it just hardens). Then you need to freeze the cake pops at least an hour before dipping. If you don’t freeze them, the sticks will not stay in the cake ball. We made ours a smallish tablespoon and had 4 left with no stick. So, I’d say a large table spoon is about the right size to make them. Also, there is very little instruction on melting the chocolate. I have baked a lot and already knew that the chocolate wafers need to be melted at 50% power and stirred every 30 seconds in the microwave . If you don’t melt the chocolate wafers this way you will burn the chocolate. They were very yummy, good chocolate flavor , and not overly sweet. He enjoyed the kit and likes following instructions but adult supervision is needed unless your child is an experienced baker comfortable with an oven.

Great kit
The kit included everything you need except an egg and some water. Easy directions for kids to follow and a great way to spend time with my granddaughters. Finished product tasted pretty good.

Disappointed…
For the price, I expected much more from this kit. It’s just a few small packages of ingredients that I could’ve bought at the grocery store for a fraction of the price. I thought it would include some hardware (measuring spoons, whisk) but I guess I should’ve paid more attention to the listing…
