RECOIL BB-T Bass Blocks Designed to Protect Car Audio Tweeters

I installed these RECOIL BB-35 bass blockers inline on my new Kicker 3.5" speakers, and they do exactly what I needed them to do. In my setup, the 3.5" dash speakers are installed in parallel with 6.5" Kickers on the same channel of the amp. These bass blockers help keep the low-end bass out of the smaller dash speakers, which lets the 6.5" speakers hit a little harder in the mid-bass while the 3.5" speakers handle the cleaner highs like they should. The result is a better-balanced sound with less distortion from the dash speakers, especially when turning the volume up. They are well made, compact, and easy to install. The wiring was straightforward, and they were small enough to tuck away in my 2023 Jeep JL dash without making the install messy. For the price, these are hard to beat. Great product at a great price, and they worked exactly as expected.

Essential add when powering up your system so you don't blow out your speakers. Easy to install, just splice it into the positive wire. It blocks the low level bass signals from playing through the speaker, letting it exclusively play the mid and high level sounds. With that said, you probably only want to use these in combination with a separate subwoofer so you can still have some bass in your system.

I recently replaced all 6 speakers in my 2015 Dodge Journey with MTX Terminator speakers and I noticed that it sounded awfully distorted and the 3.5” speakers on the dash were playing low frequencies which they are NOT supposed to do, and that really scared me thinking that it would blow them. I did some research and another person wrote a review on these about how these capacitors changed the whole sound system on their Ram and blocked out the low frequencies from their dash speakers, so I decided to give these a try and see if it would make a difference. After splicing up the Metra harness and wiring these capacitors up, it changed the WHOLE SYSTEM! The door speakers AND dash speakers all sound loud AND clear! No more worrying about the dash speakers blowing, and it even gave the door speakers more bass. 100% would recommend these if you own a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram, these little things solve your problem!

They do help the sound quality by keeping the base out of the small speakers. And they're compact size makes it easy to get them out of the way.

These helped clean up my sound tremendously. Beige installing them on my tweeters, I would get distortions at moderate volume levels due to lower frequency notes (bass) -- depending on the song. I would have to reduce the bass input and others on my equalizer to clean up the distortion and would not get the sound I really wanted. Now I can get much better performance from my tweeters at any volume level. Great value Highly recommend.

Not sure if i installed incorrectly but they did not work at all, they actually made it so my speakers did not work at all, once removed the speakers worked as they should, i was dissapointed, but that doesnt mean everyone will have the same luck as i!

I installed the Recoil Bass Blockers on my front dashboard 3.5-inch speakers, and they made a noticeable difference. The speakers sound much cleaner, with less distortion from low bass. Vocals and highs are clearer, and the overall sound quality has improved. Installation was quick and easy. Great product if you want to protect your small dash speakers and get better sound. Highly recommended!

Was having a problem with my sound system sending too much bass to my tweeters. Wired these in its place and wow night and day difference without sacrifice of quality i can play it nice and loud with no distorion i wish a place nearby sold these but great for the price highly recommend for small speakers that keep clipping at high volume

Great little devices. Took all the bass away from my door speakers and sound fantastic now that I have a subwoofer doing all the bass. I wired them behind my deck so I didn't have to take the door panels off and cut and sliced them into my aftermarket harness so I didn't even have to touch any of the factory wiring. Worked great and wayyyyy less time and effort. I know some say wire it close to the speaker but I read reviews of lots of people doing it behind the deck with no issue, no issue for me either.
