I towed a skidster 10 miles using the 2 5/16" ball. At 8000lbs+ with the brush attachment and trailer, their specs on capacity are spot on. The only thing that I pushed beyond it's limit is the tow capacity of my F150! As far as I'm concerned, this hitch is an awesome bang for the buck. Will it hold up if I hauled that kind of weight every day, who knows, but my guess is the vast majority of users won't be towing that amount of weight. My frequent haul is an enclosed 12' trailer with a capacity of 2000 lbs. Been to and from Canada 1500 miles round trip. Solid as a rock.

Very nice hitch. Definitely one of the best looking and light weight hitches I have ever purchased. Very solid and light weight. Adjusting the height is a breeze with one pin. The fact that this is aluminum for the most part it will not rust as all other hitches eventually do. The balls and pins are steel but everything else is aluminum.

It looks great, it feels great, it tows great and it is incredibly strong. I pull my Moomba surf boat with it and love how adjustable it is. Besides walking into it with my shin this thing has been one of my best purchases for my truck. Highly recommended. I bought the locking pins for it as well and would definitely recommend that. Lets be real this thing is too expensive to have somebody swoop it in a parking lot while you're in the store buying food to feed your face.

Using on Ford Expedition. Purchased to pull 3500GVWR enclosed trailer (2 5/16 ball) and 3000GVWR open trailer (2" Ball). Easily accommodates both ball requirements with a simple flip of the ball mount component. Please note - you cannot change the balls out. Provides secure, confident connection between the truck and trailer. It's not a loud hitch either with minimal hitch rattle. Very easy to adjust for trailer/truck height differences. Pull the pin, remove the carrier pin, lift up or lower as needed, replace carrier pin and you're done. Looks very nice, is reasonably weighted and works wonderfully! Would definitely recommend to anyone with multiple trailers requiring varying connection height!

Great gift for my b-day from the wife.. I kept switching hitches from 2" for the boat and utility trailer to 2"5/16 for the car hauler and enclosed trailer.. and i didn't have enough drop for the enclosed trailer.. This hitch works perfect, came packaged great and looked great out of the box.. so glad I went with 6"drop instead of 4".. the only problem I have is when I pull small river boat it's 1"7/8... but on the Andersen Hitch website they sell a single ball that fits the rapid hitch. Gave 4 because I haven't pulled with it yet.

This hitch was recommended to me, I was skeptical because it’s pretty spendy. But I bought it anyways. And used it immediately. It’s 17 lbs, arrives on time, wasnt marked in a prime box just FYI. It comes with one pin. But I purchased the locking pins for an extra $40. They come with two keys. Figure I’d try to protect my investment. The hitch fits well and looks good. Super easy to adjust. I have a 2 1/2” receiver on my truck so I had to buy a sleeve, I bought that at a store in town. But I got the 2” hitch so it can be used on other trucks. The locking pins fit perfect. Like I said it only comes with one pin which makes no sense to me. You can pull a pin then slide the balls out, and flip them over. Or just flip over the whole thing, then the Anderson label will Be upside down. But super easy to work with. Definitely recommend it, I’ve attached some pics

Hitch arrived today, opened it up and ready to install it on my truck and was bummed to find out that they dont even include the pin to adjust the height. I can understand not including a locking pin to secure hitch to truck but not to include atleast a pin to install for height adjustment?? So now I had to order a set of locking pins for $38 and wait another two days before I can even use the hitch. Don’t get me wrong I am very happy with the quality of the hitch, but Atleast include an adjustment pin with the hitch. A $180 spent on a hitch and now have to order pins, very frustrating and disappointing.

This thing is a beast. Not welded together it’s forged out of one piece of Metal. Great quality super durable and all the parts slide together very well but yet still have a really nice tight feel when you hook a trailer up to it. Well worth the money I can see I’ll have this thing for a long time.
