KitchenAid Stand Mixer Attachment, KSMVSA Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder

This Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder attachment is a fantastic addition to a KitchenAid stand mixer. It makes slicing and shredding vegetables, cheese, and other ingredients incredibly fast and easy, saving a lot of prep time in the kitchen. The attachment is simple to install, works smoothly, and produces consistent results. I especially appreciate how much easier it makes larger meal prep projects compared to using a hand grater. Cleanup is straightforward, and the overall quality is exactly what I expect from KitchenAid. If you already own a compatible stand mixer, this attachment is absolutely worth adding to your collection.

We use this for shredding carrots and cheese. Both have worked very well! Easy to clean and quick!

I have used a hand grater for years, and this has made my life so much easier. I don't like pre-shreaded store bought cheese, and now I can shread blocks of cheese quickly and without worry of scraping my fingers on sharp edges. Easy to install on mixer, and easy to clean. Very minimal scrap pieces at the end of shreading blocks of cheese. (Perfect to keep to pay "cheese tax" for my dauschand.)

Bought this as a gift for our 42-year-old daughter and she absolutely loves it. No more hand grating with the stand grater. Sooooo much easier and faster and fit the machine well. Made her wonder why she hadn't done it sooner (well, I guess because we didn't buy it for her sooner-ha ha) Update: While the product worked great, it was missing part of the packaging and did not look like the picture. The inside was plain cardboard vs the advertised black. The attachments were sitting in plain cardboard slots without the nice cover. See pictures for the advertised vs what we got.

I have a food processor, but sometimes I just like having the versatility of this great Kitchenaid accessory in my culinary arsenal. As with all the accessories I use with my Kitchenaid Artisan mixer, this Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder attachment makes meal prep fast and easy. It is especially handy when I am prepping make-ahead meals or larger group quantities for party or holiday celebrations. It doesn’t take a lot of storage space; I appreciate that in my small footprint kitchen.

This is really a great attachment shredder. It works great. The old white one that kitchenaid had was so hard to remove. This one removes easy. The only drawback is it is not as large as the white ones were. To slice potatoes, if they are too big you have to cut them to fit. This one has a smaller opening. It's worth it to me because I can remove on my owm.

Grating cheese has never been quicker or easier, and it handles both hard and soft cheeses beautifully. Cleanup is simple, and it feels very sturdy and well-made. I love my Kitchen Aid mixer and every attachments that I have with it so yes I had to get this. I hated shredded cheese before and I even tried the one with that suctions to the counter and has the crank handle. It didn’t stay stuck to my counter and the handle kept coming off and was very discouraging to use. I ordered this and I love it. I love how easily it shreds all my cheese and my dog even loves when I open the box cause she knows she’s going to get cheese. The only thing I don’t like is cleaning the cheese grater it’s hard to get inside to get all the cheese out, but I may do not enough to stop me from using it. I am shredding cheeses on average 3-4 times a week.
