It’s just brilliant…….but !
This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I tried other so called lightweight scooters and this beat them all in every respect. I’m not good at lifting but I can put this in my car boot without even folding it - just lift the seat off first and in it goes. It’s so easy to operate and control. Batteries can be changed very easily and having two is good so less chance of running out of juice and recharging is fast and easy. They say 6.5 miles on one battery but that depends on the weight of the rider, terrain, wind, etc. so expect a variation on their claims. I get about an hour per battery and weigh about 100 kg. It climbs slopes without problem. It’s quite stable as long as you treat it with respect and don’t try anything silly. Getting around shops is so easy with its tight turning circle. Its speed is easily controlled with one thumb. It’s a really great disability aid that does its job really well. Its design and build quality is first class. It has to be a ‘best buy’ not one thing I don’t like about it…….. now here’s the but!!! This scooter falls into the the Class 2 category and those with a disability who are eligible to make an HMRC declaration can buy free of vat. I purchased mine on 7 February 2023 and it was delivered on 9 February 2023 and I’m still waiting for my refund. The normal way in the UK is for the retailer to sell vat free on production of a completed HMRC declaration form but Amazon make you pay the vat then you have to claim it back. Very odd and very S. L. O. W. I think Amazon should explain their reasons for working contrary to HMRC’s explanation of how the vat exemption works. If you have bought one and are able to complete the HMRC declaration form then Amazon owes you a refund of the vat if you haven’t already claimed. Update - 12 Months later……….Reliability has been 100%. Batteries are just as good as new with no charging issues. People often ask me about it and even take photos! I even get comments on how cool it looks! I take it with me on coach holidays and the company I go with are very impressed with its light weight and portability and of course it’s acceptable for air travel too. I firmly believe it’s the best on the market for lightness, sturdiness, user satisfaction, design, and most importantly, price. It has been so good to get around on I just cannot imagine life without it. SuperHandy it is!!!

Gave me my freedom back
As a still relatively young 30-something millennial it’s not easy having to finally concede defeat and admit you’re ready to join the mobility scooter club. I hate to sound superficial but my illness has taken so much away from me these past 20 years that I undoubtedly held out too long before relenting. My one condition of surrender was that I wanted something that didn’t look like a granny-mobile. I am delighted to say that this product has not only appeased my vanity (it looks less like a mobility scooter and more akin to an e-scooter) but also given me my freedom back. I never thought I’d relish the joys of visiting the local supermarkets but I can confirm it’s a surprisingly liberating experience. In my opinion no mobility scooter can truly be described as light-weight but this is about as close as it comes. Fortunately I have an able bodied partner to do the heavy lifting but, that aside, the product is easy and straightforward to assemble and as compact as you could reasonably expect in transit. It is also incredibly nippy and has an admirably long battery life. I am not the world’s best driver. My six attempts to obtain my driving licence are testament to that and spatial awareness is not my forte. However the product is so streamlined and agile that I have experienced no issues in manoeuvring around tight corners and cluttered aisles. It is perfect for indoor use. When it comes to the great outdoors I would express a little more reservation. The scooter itself is perfectly capable of being used outside provided you stick to a relatively even surface and are sensible. Its relative speed and lightweight frame means that uneven pavements and slopes present more of a challenge if you want to avoid coming to grief but this is more a reflection on the quality of the pavements than the product. I am delighted with the scooter. It is perfect for what I need and has made a huge difference to my quality of life. If you are looking for a light-weight and agile alternative to the traditional mobility scooter then I would highly recommend.

Super little scooter!
The Superhandy mobility scooter ticks all the boxes: lightweight, great design, easy to handle, store and transport around. The ride is very smooth and comfortable too. This is the best mobility scooter by miles. Most disability products are awful in appearance and are so heavy - we care about aesthetics too and deserve to have lovely designed products just like escooters, cars etc. Added bonus is that it freewheels, so can be wheeled along as well as up-and-down stairs - just remove seat and battery, fold and clamp, keep handlebar upright and away you go. Well done Superhandy on making a product that makes disabled people feel more inclusive. Thank you. UPDATE: I've had ths scooter for 1.5 years now and it performs just as good as the day I received it. The batteries still work great and charge in 1 hour 15 mins. I've had many good hours use outdoors, which has allowed me to spend all day in parks, getting around airports and on holiday visiting shops, restaurants and bars etc. It has made life so much easier, enjoyable and I highly recommend for anyone who struggles with their mobility. 4-YEARS ON - a few weeks ago, my scooter wouldn't start, then 10 minutes later it started intermittently and finally started working, but I did notice a rubbing sound with the brakes initially - then it worked for the whole day without issue. However, the next day I noticed the break sensor wire was twisted and cut in two at the folding joint. I searched for an identical replacement brake with parking stop and routed the wire through the frame and hooray my scooter is now working again. One thing I would ask is that Superhandy make the parts easy to pass through the frame as I had to get creative to find the solution to fix my scooter.

Very dangerous
I bought this scooter as it was foldable and light enough for it to fit in my car boot and use on holiday. Unfortunately the scooter is not powerful enough to go up ramps even small ones and the brakes are rubbish. My scooter rolled backwards and tipped up when it hit something leaving my head split open needing several stitches and braking 5 ribs my holiday was ruined and I spent a week in agony in my hotel room. Please don’t buy this product

Light weight but sturdy
Excellent little scooter. I’ve been needing something like this for a while but they are usually very big and heavy even if they are meant to be folded. After a friend encouraged me to get one I was delighted to find this little Super Handy Scooter. It is light weight and can fold quite small in two pieces. However it can fit into most cars without folding but you might need to remove the seat and lower the handle bar for small boots. I tried this out in the Supermarket and was delighted as I have not been able to do a full shopping for years. Unfortunately it is a bit awkward to carry shopping but worked out a large net bag on the handle works best for me. Basket on my lap worked but it was uncomfortable. The little basket in front is also handy but not really big enough for super market shopping. I love how compact the scooter is despite being a bit large I felt safe to ride this in the stores and outdoors. It felt perfect as I’m used to bikes and the frame fits attachments designed for bikes. Reversing and turning in stores was easy and not cumbersome as the larger scooters. I was pleasantly surprised at how long the batteries last. I spent several hours testing it out when I first got it. After shopping, riding it around on pavements and around in the park trying slopes and inclines ect. I think it took around 5 hours for one battery to run out. Since their are two batteries I think this is perfect for days out. The small wheels mean that it is not ideal on rough terrain and uneven surfaces. If using outdoors it would be a bit difficult for people who could not stand or take a few steps because getting off and on pavements in places without dropped curbs would require getting off and pushing it on or off curb. I found that I shifted my body weight like you do on a bike when pavements felt uneven. I did not experience tipping over or feel uncomfortable but assumed there would be a problem after reading reviews. I would recommend this scooter if you need a light weight folding scooter even if you are not lightweight. The seat could be a bit more comfortable but other than it’s perfect.

Price quality is great
It is a great scooter. Compared to Atto it has not got that extra comfort feeling but it looks great s as no has made a difference on our holiday. The seat pin keeps falling out and I have not found a way to secure it yet. Otherwise highly recommend.

Its Capable with some Limitations
So what do I like about this little scooter? Its light and easily packs away in a boot without the need to dismantle it, it comes with 2 batteries, its very easy to get into and out of tight spaces with a great turning circle, it copes well on flat even surfaces so its good for hospital appointments, shopping centres anywhere with a nice smooth flat path. So what is not so good, well the first time we used it going up an incline it cut out and I had to take the battery out and put it back in again and then it went again, it would benefit from a better braking system as it uses a bike handbrake which is precarious at best and this scooter will run away with you either forward or backwards if your on an incline, it could do with electromagnetic braking like most disability scooters do, it could also do with the ability to adjust the distance of the handlebar so that it can be tilted towards you as my wifes arms are at full stretch so very uncomfortable for long periods of use. The handlebar retaining clips loosen off after a while so you find that the wheels become out of line with steering handlebar this could be easily rectified by having a spring loaded bar retainer with holes like crutches have so that you can set your height and lock in place. This little scooter is good for limited use, and has many great benefits but is let down by some things that could easily be improved. But my main gripe and one which would stop me from buying this again is the impossibility of getting your VAT refunded by Amazon after purchase, mobility scooters are VAT exempt for disabled people and usually when purchasing from shops it is deducted at time of purchase by signing an eligibility form either in paper or electronically, sadly after 3 months and multiple phone calls and chats and letters I am still no nearer to getting this refund as the procedure is complex, dated and poor, for most things Amazon are brilliant, but sadly in getting your VAT exempt refund processed they are not, and for this reason I would not buy a VAT exempt disability product from Amazon or a market place seller again. Its a shame, but to lose 20% refund is a lot of money on an expensive item.

So lightweight
My mobility has been getting progressively worse & I finally succumbed to a mobility scooter as my world was confined to indoors unless someone was willing to accompany me in a wheelchair. This is my second purchase as the first one I bought (completely different manufacturer) was just too heavy to lift even after removing the battery & seat. Having read the reviews for this SuperHandy trike, I was impressed & took the plunge. There’s nothing to dislike about this scooter. It’s really well made & lightweight & I can get it in & out of the car with ease on either the backseat or in the boot. A real plus having 2 batteries as this means you can travel further with confidence, it turns on a sixpence & is very nippy. I’ve been using it regularly to the local shop, been to the park, supermarket & a seaside trip along a promenade. It’s performed well on the up & down hill (not steep) to the local village, has been excellent on dropped kerbs but be sensible & take it slowly. The bag that hooks onto the handlebars is fine for a small amount of shopping, there isn’t a key starter so I’ve invested in a bike lock for security. Now the nights are drawing in, I’m about to order some bicycle lights, just in case I’m caught out in the dark. All in all I love this scooter as it ticks all the boxes I needed but more importantly, it’s given me back my independence.

Super Handy is Super Dandy and a Mobility Life Saver to Boot
What a great product, truly remarkable. My girlfriend has mobility issues due to a serious car accident over a year ago. We love to travel and especially love cruises. Unfortunately, a few months ago we took a cruise and discovered that due to her mobility issues we were unable to enjoy the cruise as we had in the past. We booked another cruise in July on Norwegian heading North out of Baltimore. We looked into renting a scooter but discovered it was going to cost $400.00/ week for a rental. Consequently, we started looking into buying our own. After much research and reviews we felt the SuperHandy would easily meet our needs and our pocketbook. We ordered one and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we received it and how easy it was to assemble. We left for our cruise on 9/1/2023. Due to its size, weight and portability were we able to use Uber to the port. My girlfriend was able to ride on her SuperHandy from the Uber drop off, through check-in and right to our cabin. Due to its size, we were able to park it in our somewhat small cabin right in front of the small sofa. SuperHandy permitted my girlfriend to go anywhere and everywhere on the ship. While in port she was able to transport all over. We did 10 miles in Boston she on SuperHandy and me walking. Her battery went red just has we got back to the cruise terminal. Also, 2 of our ports were tendered (boat from anchored Cruise ship to port). Due to its size and weight, she was able to go and enjoy these ports. Many of those on larger and heavier scooters were not. We flew home and consequently we again were able to Uber to the airport and home. My girlfriend was able to ride her SuperHandy right down the jet way where she removed the battery and they then took it and put it on the plane. When we landed, they put it back on the jet-way for her and she rode up the jet-way and out to the Uber pick-up location. Overall, she was able to go just about anywhere. Occasionally, she would encounter a curb that was a bit high or had a wide gap. In these incidences It was easy for me to pick up SuperHandy and move it over these spots. So many on the ship made inquirers about this great little mobility scooter. We were happy to tell them all about it. This truly is a win- win for most who have mobility issues. Great Product at an even greater price.

I am super happy for my SuperHandy scooter
This is a great mobilty scooter. I have used it almost everyday for nearly 1 year now. I have taken it on vacation all over the world with no issues. It is very light and easy to transport on an airplane, train, boat or taxi. The batteries last a very long time and are easy to remove and swap out when required. People stop me all the time and ask me where I purchased it. I am super happy for my SuperHandy scooter.
