Studious Reading Monkeys 7 1/2" High Bookends Set - Kensington Hill

The bookends are wonderful! They are hefty and can hold up my larger books with ease. Very impressed with them. My office is filled with dog collectibles and these are the best dog bookends I have found yet .

I got these because I was in need of some bookends and these are without a doubt the design that I loved the most on Amazon. And the dogs are just as pretty in person. They're sturdy and reasonably heavy and have held my books in place since I put them up. I'm removing one star because they came with some fiberglass or resin strands all over them, and in the process of gently cleaning them, some chunks of black coating came off. Also, as you can see in the photos, one gold accent is painted on a brightly visible, and the other gold accent is actually just negative space scraped out from the black coating. I didn't buy it for the gold decoration, though, I bought it for the nice dog design. Eventually it'll all wear off anyway and just be bronze, so I'm not too bothered.

These book ends are awesome. I purchased them for myself because I love owls. I had just put new shelves in my master bedroom and wanted to display some books. These book ends have exceeded my expectations! They are beautiful in person and very sturdy. They have some weight to them, so they can hold up larger books which is great. I also love that the bottoms have a velvety covering so they do not scratch my new wood shelves. Excellent buy at a great price. This is an item that could be easily given as a gift. LOVE THESE!

This was a gift for my owl and book loving daughter for Christmas. The first one received came with one of the owls broken off. We contacted the company and they apologized and sent another set right out and we still received in time. The new one came perfect and quickly. They feel extremely sturdy and I have no idea why the other one would have been broken. It was a great value for the money.

Let me be clear - these are made of RESIN. Not cast iron or brass as the pics lead you to believe. That being said, I'm keeping them because the dog looks like my pup, and they're cute enough. But don't expect them to hold up more than paperbacks.

As an educator, I love the symbolism of the owls (wisdom) perched on books (knowledge). I was not expecting the touch of sparkles in the resin (perhaps I didn't read the description as closely as I should, but I liked how they looked on the website), but I do like the added effect. Definitely worth the purchase price.

I use these to hold up my reference books in my office. Figured the owl would be fitting for psychiatry and they look nice. They arrived covered in glitter, so that was fun. Then the other morning all my books fell over in the middle of a phone call… so minimal and light books, and they needed a bath.

These bookends are finely detailed and more than heavy enough to hold a shelf full of books. Very decorative. Took a while to arrive, but they were safely packaged.
