Needs 2 people to assemble. Approx 3-4hrs
I like this bed! However, it’s not without issues! As an independent women - I am well seasoned in DIY (nearly 30 years!).If you are a novice, I suspect you are likely to struggle as the instructions are awful and require your own problem solving skills along the way.I assembled 90% of the frame myself unassisted. For the remaining 10% I asked my dad to help me (he’s 70). This was only really required to stabilise alignment of the final fixtures and uplift for positioning. It took us approx 4hrs combined to assemble. I spit this time across two attempts over the weekend because I’m not the strongest women, so was tired after I’d assembled the first half ;-)Flat-pack furniture often doesn’t come with written instructions because it’s cheaper for manufacturers not to have to pay for language translations when selling internationally.Be mindful of this when I say you will be required to use your own common sense at times to understand each step as you go. The diagrams do not break-down each step for you! It’s up to you to decide how you go about it to a reasonable extent.I ordered black. There were some scratches to the paint surface on two rods when unpacked. I spot-filled these with a black permanent marker to disguise - it did the job!The only thing I don’t like is the visible screws and washers. These stand out because they are not black (see my product image) and cheapen the finish. I will likely look to spray these with black enamel paint in the near future.FYI - Courier missed my delivery slot by 3-5hrs! Which is not great.I would recommend this product to those who are looking for something cheap & cheerful and to those who are confident & experienced with slightly more challenging DIY than just your usual IKEA stuff!!
