Great price for a storage upgrade
I got this to upgrade a new laptop that simply didn't have enough storage. It was fast and easy to install it in my Dell laptop, fortunately - just open the 8 screws, pull off the lid, and swap it out. Some systems might be harder. Getting it working was a little harder, as I had to manually reinstall Windows and put my software on. If I was migrating from an old system to a new one, I'd have done a lot of backups, but this was nice and easy. Performance is great. Haven't had any issues with all that space; it just runs and doesn't complain. I've had a few SP drives before and these always work well. No regrets!

Fast and affordable NVMe SSD with TLC NAND
I bought this SSD to upgrade my laptop's storage and I'm very happy with the performance and price. It was easy to install and recognized by Windows 10 without any issues. The drive is very fast, especially for sequential reads and writes, and it handles most tasks without slowing down. It also has a black PCB and a 5-year warranty, which are nice bonuses. The only drawbacks are that it doesn't have a software toolbox for monitoring or updating the firmware and that it has lower endurance than some of its competitors. However, these are minor issues for me, as I don't plan to use the drive heavily or for a long time. For the price, this SSD is hard to beat, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly NVMe SSD with TLC NAND.

Fantastic value
The Crucial M.2 2TB SSD is an absolute value-packed gem! It offers a whopping 2 terabytes of lightning-fast storage in a tiny, M.2 form factor. The speed and performance are off the charts; this SSD can handle anything you throw at it. But what really sets it apart is the incredible value for the price. You're getting a massive 2TB of storage without breaking the bank. Whether you're a gamer, content creator, or just need extra space for your files, this SSD is a game-changer. The reliability and durability are top-notch, and it comes with a manufacturer's warranty for peace of mind. If you're looking for a high-capacity SSD that won't empty your wallet, Crucial is the way to go. It's a fantastic investment for your storage needs, and the value it offers is unbeatable.

Cheaper than a budget SATA SSD but faster.
I have this on an older PCI-E 3.0 x4 slot and the drive is performing up to 1.4GB/s. I put my games on it and things that I wouldn't mind losing. This is quite a low price-point, so I'm not sure about long-term durability. But then again, anyone who wants to keep their stuff should have it on two drives regardless of what type. But this is the second Silicon Power drive I have in two computers, and both have thus far been flawless after 2 months of usage.

Unreliable and unstable for literally ANY regular PC use
I blame myself for trying to save 20-40% on acquiring this part. I am building a bargain PC for an older family member and using donated parts from gaming friends to do it. The only thing I needed to purchase was a new hard drive (my relative still has a monitor, mouse and keyboard). I figured if I could keep this build under $100 it would be a huge help for her. We would've went with a SATA SSD, but with an available m2 slot, I figured we'd keep the PC build as small as possible with the fewest cables. Unfortunately, any savings we achieved were quickly gone once we started moving her data (large amounts of photos) over to the drive. The OS (win11) installation went fine, and the OS did seem to run okay with the drive almost empty, but once the drive started to fill up, the system became unstable and started to randomly hang, pause, give errors and more... just complete chaos, it made her PC virtually unusable for seconds into minutes at a time... not something you want out of a newer PC. Internet content wouldn't load, you couldn't open a file explorer window, everything barely ran for short and longer periods of time. Data transfer speeds and a data monitor program unfortunately told the tale... initial speed bursts of around 300-400mbps quickly dip down to 0, then back up to somewhere in the middle, and then back up and down throughout the transfer, widely varying transfer speeds are a telltale of a crappy, unreliable drive. We eventually swapped this drive out with a name brand (WD) and the data transfers on that one start and end at the same speed - steady as can be. If you're looking to save some money, please look elsewhere in the PC. I honestly cannot think of a use for this drive in ANY application... even if you don't use it for an OS, once you start filling it up with data you will be experiencing lagging and errors that will wreak havoc on your OS. We pulled this drive and returned it within a week. We chose a WD blue drive for the replacement for $20 more, and the reliability is very solid - literally none of the same issues are happening, and the rest of the PC hasn't changed except for swapping out this drive. I get wanting to save money, but DO NOT skimp on your m2 drives, especially this one... you will regret the time you spent trying to get it to work properly.

Best for Price point.
Perfect for what I was wanting. Though now I may be having hardware failure, only when trying to install Call of Duty.

Best value 2TB NVME SSD as of this review
There is no other 2 terrrabyte NVME SSD on amazon currently as of this review that is Gen 3 and has that much space. It was pretty easy and straight foward to install. It fit my oem motherboard standoffs just fine without me having to adjust them, the only thing that gave me trouble was the poorly designed NVME drive heatsinks that came with my lenovo prebuilt. It's great to have this much storage and really fast read and write speeds. My 1% and 0.1% lows are a lot higher now because my old HDD drive would struggle load the high quality assets in time, but it's not issue with this SSD. Downloads used to take forever too with my download speeds dropping constantly so my hard drive can catch up.

It Functions
It's good when someone repairing your computer says you really have made no dent in your storage.

DO NOT BUY - AVOID LIKE PLAGUE
Bought this for just under $200 thinking i would save a couple of bucks since gen3 is still pretty fast anyway. I dont move massive files, so this is suitable for me and around same price as a 2.5" samsung 870. big mistake. it arrived just before i left for my travels, and i managed to install in on my system just as the return window closed. IT. DOES. NOT. FORMAT. The laptop can detect the drive - but it remains unformattable and unusable. Pulled it out and put it in a known good working order nvme enclosure (a WD 770 1tb was living there before i put this in), and again computer detects its but unable to format. So laptop doesnt work, and USB 3.2 nvme enclosure doesnt work - so i go to my main gaming station and slot take turns slotting it into my 3rd nvme slot. nothing. 2nd nvme slot. still cannot format. 1st nvme slot. still unable to format. $180 piece of junk - not even good enough for paperweight. DO NOT BUY.

Good so far.
Was a breeze to set up and works as it should. Not the fastest drive but as fast as was advertised. Great budget buy.
