Automatic Vacuum Hair Cutting System Haircutter Clipper

This is my 3rd machine in 30 years. It's a great product, easy and convenient to use.

Update Edit: Initially, I liked the haircut, but was very skeptical of the quality and durability of the redesigned product. After just 4 hair cuts, the blades disintegrated, leaving me with half a haircut, and a broken device. I ordered replacement parts, but the product now just pulls hair. The service chat left me hang for about an hour, and would only give verbal advice, when their suggestions failed, they were done, except they tried to sell me more parts or system. This system lasted about a year, but cost more than 2 years of haircuts locally and left me with half a haircut. I am done with them. The following is my original review. Having owned the previous model, and reading the reviews of the current model, I was very skeptical, however it has worked. The blades look cheap and fragile, and the hose did not fit onto to any of my 3 name brand vacuums, nor did the adapter help. It is ridiculous to not include any means the attach it to vacuum, so I subtracted 1 star for this reason. I was able to fabricate my own hose adapter. The hair length spacers are made of brittle plastic. I believe the use of non-steel blades is a safety feature for the closer hair cut. I believe all current haircut systems are owned by the same company now, so they have no fear of losing sales.

I would say this is not as good as the original but it does a good job for me with my short hair. I would agree with others that it could pull hair if you are trying to cut more than 1/4 inch at a time. Overall with what is available on the market, I would still buy this and use it. There are not a lot of options.

I've had cheaper versions of this model, but you get what you pay for. Cuts great!

I had the older version (with different blades and switch on the motor, not the cord, just to identify the model) and loved it. Used it for about 20 years until I dropped it and it broke. Tried to repair without success because this product, the older model, was wonderful. I reordered this brand because I was hoping to get the same. They changed this to extremely cheap blades, which don't cut. My hair, although not long, only gets tangled into them. What a tremendous difference. Nothing like the old model, very dissapointing. ***Zero stars***

This is the third robocut I've owned. Except this last one, the DIY-Model. It broke after 5 uses, just stopped working. It was reported broken in March 2020. 3 months after purchase. The warranty is for a year. So far, 8 months later, after calling, emailing, sending pictures, calling again I still don't have a replacement part. I was promised a part months ago "It will ship next week". I'm trying one last time to get them to honor the warranty. I'll update as soon as I get the part. No update means no part. Let's see if they care.update: Said they would ship a new part. That was 15 days ago. Still nothing. That's TWICE they promised to ship a new part and didn't. UPDATE: UPGRADED to three stars -- I finally got shipped the broken part.

The ‘pull’ on the hair is stronger and more consistent (somewhat painful). It means it when it says do not cut more than 1/2 inch at a time. Longer hair got wound in the machine, no reverse button, had to cut the machine out of the hair. None of this ever happened with the older model. Had it for 20 years.
