Works great!
Bought this for my school aged children so they no longer had to worry about ice packs to keep their lunches cold. Works like a charm (when they remember to put it in the freezer)!

not good
don't waste your money, sending it back for the Yeti lunchbox. This pack was melted completely after 2 hours in the car.

A great idea but needs some work
Out of the box (and really, Amazon, what is with the excessive packaging?) I have to admit, initially I was not impressed. I had planned to use it to bring frozen breakfast sandwiches and the occasional lunch on the train, but my first thought was that this bag was too heavy and bulky for that purpose. However, through the magic of freezing, the bag settled into a more normal size (it will hold a six-pack of cans, or a normal sized lunch), and also it did not seem nearly so heavy once frozen. The concept is brilliant, of course: encapsulate the frozen material within the walls of the bag so it cools contents evenly, and you do not have to deal with loose ice packs. In the first couple of days I have found additional uses. I put ice cream in it to stay cold between the grocery store and home; and I will use it to keep my Diet Coke cold for the ride home after visiting my mom. I used to put it in her fridge during my visit but always forgot to retrieve it before leaving. This way it stays in the car where it is needed, and it stays cold and refreshing - that was the plan, at least. I left a couple of bottles of Coke in the bag in the trunk for about 90 minutes, the outdoor temperature was about 85 degrees. When I returned to the car, the ice-gel was completely melted, and the contents were cool but not nearly cold. This bag needs to be way better insulated in order to be a 5-star product. I do like the idea but it suffers in the execution. I have dropped my 5-star rating to 4 stars- really it's more of a 3.5.Edited 8/16/16: I have dropped a full 2 stars from my initial rating. The gel ice within the walls of the bag is a great idea, but that's as far as it goes. It simply does a poor job of keeping the contents cold in warm weather. I filled the bag with ice (in addition to the frozen bag itself) and left a bottle of Coke in it for 90 minutes in my trunk in 85 degree weather. The result was tepid Coke, a completely melted bag, and - the kicker - the ice inside had all melted and soaked through the seams, so stuff in my trunk was damp also. It seems like a no-brainer to put a plastic liner inside to waterproof the bag. For my purposes, the use of this bag is severely limited, which is a major bummer - it was SUCH a good idea.

This unit is okay for short term storage but like others have stated does not last all day
This unit is okay for short term storage but like others have stated does not last all day. Plus it takes up a lot of room in the freezer while freezing.

Large Enough to be Useful, Small Enough to be Convenient
I’ve had a small lunchbox type cooler before but it was pretty small and I never really ended up using it. Recently I have been wanting another one because it has been so hot. In the heat, just running errands with the kids, we’re hot and thirsty. I want to be able to take some water and drinks along without taking a big cooler. This lunch cooler is a big improvement. It’s still really compact but without having to save room for a ice pack, it allows more room for drinks or food. This cooler doesn’t need an ice pack. Throw it in the freezer overnight and it’s ready to go. The freezable gel is built right into the cooler itself. The freezable gel does make it a little heavier but it’s still a small, lightweight cooler. The interior is almost like a foil interior. I think it could easily be ripped if you weren’t careful. Since the cooler has the gel on the inside of it, I could see that you could puncture it and the gel ooze out. Just be aware with items that might have sharp edges.I’ve been very pleased with the new cooler. It’s large enough to be useful yet small enough to be convenient to take along. The long strap makes it easy to carry.

This is a perfect little cooler for transporting baby bottles
This is a perfect little cooler for transporting baby bottles! We use the shorter, Munchkin Latch bottles and they fit perfectly in this.
