Universal A/C Compressor 2PK Clutch SD 508 5H14 R134A V Belt 12V

I did a conversion from a GM R4 pancake compressor to a Sanden style on my 1983 C10. The conversion went well and I had hoses manufactured for the conversion. I also had to buy a bracket assembly off Amazon to support the compressor. I did the conversion in Summer 2024 and has been running great for a year+ in GA heat. The compressor is quiet and seems to draw less HP that the OEM compressor. Good cooling. No problems a year+ later. I'm very satisfied with the purchase. P.S. I had purchased three R4 compressors over the past 5 years and all leaked at some point in time (within about a year) and that was the main reason for the Sanden conversion. No leaks!

First off I got this thing for under $100 it was advertised as used and with most things Amazon used means returned never used wasn't even opened still under vacuum. I successfully fitted it to my 1987 P30 motorhome with a 454 engine carbureted. I also replace the condenser all the hoses the dryer the expansion valve and then eventually switched out the evaporator coil with an under dash evaporator coil as you see in the picture. Then and only then with the use of r152a did I achieve 35 to 37° f results. Until I got the new Dash unit I was getting 55° Fahrenheit at the coldest. But with the new under dash evaporator coil the new compressor condenser hoses and dryer and r152a I am now getting mid-30° temperatures freezing cold it's amazing. And if you're wondering what r152a is it is your basic Air Duster ingredient Google it make sure you're getting the right stuff watch some videos it's worth the transition.

Seems like a decent value Sanden 508 clone but only time will tell. I've put 1000 miles on the car since installing this with constant A/C usage and it's worked fine. This uses the standard #8 discharge and #10 suction port.

Absolutely perfect fitment was easy to install great, the best value for my money is built with quality material functions and works perfectly in my car I will recommend this to anybody I suggest you buy one too for your vehicle you will be happy it beats any other store even eBay doesn't have this for the value thank you once again Amazon you're the best fast delivery to my mailbox on time with no damage and the driver was so polite and courteous he deserves a raise thank you

Compressor appears to be weaker than the compressor it replaced as it doesn’t cool as good

Perfect fit for our Valtra 6850, running R290. 1000hrs with no problems so far.

Product was a good replacement for my existing unit at a good price.

Worked great

Ac blew very cold for about 20 minutes until the compressor seized solid, do not buy. Now since I don’t have a refrigerant reclaim system I’m going to have to empty $100 worth of refrigerant out of the system while taking the compressor off to send back for a refund. Company has not reached out and I can’t get ahold of them to try and make this right. I just hope I can get my money back.
