I've purchased 2 of these antennas now, both arived with a slight bend where the straight part of the antenna meets the top of the coil.Both were able to be bent back, it's just slightly irritating for the price I paid.Other than that they are great, quality antennas, and I will more than likely still purchase again in the future. ( I'm a Bit of a radio nut, so every truck I own has one installed with one of these antennas )Good deal for the price, just wish they hadn't arived bent.

WOW! If you don't mind a 2" diameter sticking up off your vehicle then you may like it. I only used it as a receive antenna. Didn't do so well on 700 MHz P25 system. 150MHz and 450 seemed okay. The spring is really stiff and as result, put a lot of strain on the roof of my vehicle and the antenna while parking in the garage. I took it off. Really unsightly unless you're driving a very large vehicle, Hummer etc....

It is absolutely awesome, amazing clarity and range, only down side is that it’s a tall base (which I think looks cool) so if you’re in a trucker suv be cautious about parking garages and other low places.

I didn't believe the whole tri-band thing when I first bought it. I was skeptical but I wanted to try anyhow. When I got it, I was pleasantly surprised. SWRs look good for those that I could test.On VHF, it performs comparably to my wideband 5-foot wideband VHF on both the amateur and government band. On UHF, even better, at least in the amateur band. No license to transmit on 7/800, but receive works quite well there.The base is quite "fat" compared to other antennas, but it does the job.

Sturdy design. Well worth the money.

this is a stout antenna,,, I have noting bad to say about it,, I was very sceptic of it working,, but its working. I have it mounted above my house. And in comparison to the standard antenna,,, huge difference. picks up anything 10 miles at the minimum.

Excellent Antenna, using as a replacement scanner antenna and increased range on 700/800Mhz P25 by 10 miles, it’s not pretty but it does the job

Jury is still out. Cost is less than another triband I have, but not sure if it works as well
