How long do you have to take this before you see the effects?

I just take it and go on about my business. Give it 3 months. that's how long it takes for your body to have new blood which is produced in the marrow of bones. Novice speaking who had to have a blood transfusion for anemia and was crying. Dr. said don't worry your blood will replace it in 3 months.
