Asan Point Master Grip Yoga Mat with Body Alignment System

I used this mat for the first time last night. Let me say I LOVE IT!!!. I've been practicing yoga for a little under a year. I started out with a mat from 5 below then this past Christmas my husband bought me a set with a mat and blocks . The mat was PVC I could not stop slipping in down dog and other poses. I purchased this mat feeling bad because my gifted mat was only a few months old. With the Asan Point mat absolutely NO SLIPPING!! It's amazing. This is suppose to be a dupe for the liforme mat with the map guide. Last night was probably the first time my instructor did not adjust me feet in warrior. The map works! Only thing I notice is that when I placed my forehead on the mat my oily skin caused a "stain", went home and took it out with dish soap. Sweat is super absorbent so that dries as quickly as it touches the mat. Also bonus it comes with an over the shoulder nylon bag. This is not a light mat so be prepared for it's density. Overall LOVE LOVE LOVE it , worth the price.

If you're a guy looking for a "manlier" yoga mat, this is the one you're looking for. I searched high and low for a mat that met my needs and wasn't obviously designed for women. This mat is perfect for everyone, not just guys, and at a great price point. It's heavy, not just a piece of foam, rolls out nice and flat, it's super grippy and the alignment lines really help me straighten out. The bag is really nice, too, with a pad over the clip so it sits comfortably when you carry it and doesn't cut in to your shoulder. Buy it.

So far so great! I went thru heavy sweat, 90 minute hot class with Yogi Daniel the bad-ass... and "look ma no hands!" Didn't slip once! I make pools, not puddles, not drips -POOLS! In pools of my sweat connected firm my hands & feet for the dog-downer long hold and then feet into the lunge and shalomaste! No Slipping! Secure footing on a wet tacky, not sticky, smooth-finished rubber texture. It slips a little on the floor, when I nail the one leg dog or bounce off and so over time it may stretch....dunno. I am 190 lb, 6'. Nothing lasts forever...I think I got the best value quality product available for hot sweaty action and the Yoga Room in Redlands and no slipping! Wipe up your swea, use a towel or it just soaks in. Lay out your mat to dry (and air out) first couple days...great alignment markers - lots of fun for me because it's "man-size", yet comfortable fit for a woman.....ahem... and I dominate the floor....as one tiny Yogini puts it! Shalomaste! :)

The grippiness of the mat is good. It's the selling point, so that's a good thing. Just keep in mind that it kind of grabs your skin in a way other yoga mats don't, and can feel weird/uncomfortable as you transition your feet from one orientation to another. I like having the labels on the mat as guides of where to go. The mat is really heavy so it's good for home practice, but probably not a good choice to bring back and forth to class.

This mat is awesome! I sweat so much and I have always had to use lots of towels to dry off. We're talking puddles people, puddles. Haha. I have not needed a towel to put down on this. It stays dry and I don't have slippage issues. It's awesome, for real. The mat comes with a nice bag for it and is ready for use right after you get it...no weird mat smell to air out. The mat is 5.5 lbs I think, which makes it a little heavy, but I like the weight.I have been telling others about this mat too. Glad I bought it.

was skeptical as item had few reviews, but extremely pleased. alignment lines really help. super sticky grip, makes positions like down dog significantly easier. Also performs well when wet from sweat. Slightly heavy, making it somewhat cumbersome to carry around but on the upshot of the weight is that it never curls at the edges after being unrolled. Only complaint is bag has slightly tacky branding on the side..kind of feels like your carrying around a huge advertisement. Other than that great mat

Amazing mat! My friends in my yoga class are jealous of it! It also comes with a bag! Extremely durable! I like the black because I'm a guy! Extremely satisfied! I have never slipped on this mat, even during hot yoga when I'm sweating a lot! Awesome, product! Affordable, must buy!
