VetOne Advita Probiotic Nutritional Supplement for Dogs - 30 Packets

These actually work really well. I have a dog with a super sensitive stomach who unfortunately tends to get into things and cause issues. This helps keep his stool far more solid. He seems to like the taste too.

Our vet recommended this probiotic a few years ago when our new puppy was having digestive issues, and it’s been our go to ever since. We have two small dogs and I split one packet between them each morning. It seems to really help keep them regular, especially my senior dog. I have it on subscription so I never run out, it is a little more expensive than other probiotics, but worth it. Very easy to use, our dogs have no issues with eating it when sprinkled on their food.

Got this because I was looking for some supplement to give our 100lb lab retriever. Where we live in the south east, so summers are hot and humid. Our dog gets terrible yeast overgrowth but it gets worse when the weather is warm. I was thinking his gut microbiome may be unbalanced, so I was recommended this. It has worked SO well in conjunction with fish oil in his food. He has all but stopped scratching and he doesn’t smell nearly as bad and you can look at his skin and tell it’s healthier. We have tried everything in the past, medicine, medical wash, medical spray (ketoconazole) and nothing has worked. This worked wonders. He loves the Taste of it, he acts like we’re “seasoning” his food and waits for us to be done 🤣 it seemed to work within the first month too. I would give this a 10/10, but I do think it’s effectiveness has been increased also with the fish oil :)

This is an excellent product that helps my schnauzer with her digestive health. She gets a full packet on her Dr. Harvey food mix daily. Please note there was an expiration mismatch on the outer packaging and the box. Package says December 2027, boxes say March 2027. Still well within expiration date.

I guess it helped! It was for my daughter's dog!

Evidently Purina makes the circuit covering all the veterinary schools to promote their products, so when you ask your vet what probiotic you should use the automatic response is usually "get the Purina Fortiflora". The Fortiflora is obviously a popular product but some dogs just don't like the taste. In addition it is relatively expensive at a pack of 30 for $27.94. We rescue and train Irish Wolfhounds. Everything becomes more expensive when you are raising the largest dog breed in the world. Bigger crates, beds, toys, and food bowls. More food, water, supplements and vet care. Even boarding costs are higher. So we have to keep our eye on expenses and figure out what is most cost effective (called value engineering) so that we always have enough money on hand to add another rescue to our pack. Insider hint: Always get pet insurance for a larger breed. It will probably end up paying for itself. So when the Purina product didn't become a hit with our Woofies, I started looking around at other probiotics. I only had to order one shipment of the Vet One Advita Probiotic supplement to find out that the dogs preferred it and that it was far more reasonable in price. This particular vendor offered two packs totalling 60 servings for $33.99, a pretty good saving for us. The Fortiflora reviews show that 93% of their customers gave it a four or five star rating. The Vet One Advita comes out slightly higher at 96%. Considering the cost saving and the basically same results, you should give this a try.

When my dogs suffered from diarrhea, the vet prescribed this probiotic. VetOne Advita. I received only 6 packets from my vet at a time. So I searched online for some probiotics and bought zesty paws probiotic. One of my dogs refused to eat the zesty paw probiotic bites. Even when I wrapped it in turkey and hid it in food. My boy dog ate it and it was to be given once a day. On the second day my boy had explosive diarrhea. No joke, it was very very bad. I still had one pack of the VetOne Advita, and I looked online to see if I could buy more or if I had to get it through my vet again. I was pleasantly surprised I was able to purchase a entire box of 30 rather then get 6 packets for about the same price. If I had known I could get it without a vet prescription, I would of never strayed away from VetOne. It's the same exact stuff from my vet. Who would of thought zesty paw probiotic would of caused diarrhea. That's not right. So VetOne Advita is amazing. It has worked for both of my dogs when they had tummy upset and when they had diarrhea from antibiotics. It works pretty fast. I give my dog's, one is 12 pounds and the other 14 pounds one packet. One packet a day is what I was told to give my dogs. My dogs don't suffer from diarrhea for very long. I use wellness core chicken pate' and mix a packet in 1/4 of the food and let my dogs eat the food without the powder mixed in first and they eat everything. I think they may have changed the flavor. My dogs like it better now. Over a year ago I think it was a beef flavor. This is the only probiotic I will give my babies.
