Sniper Elite 5 - PlayStation 5

Let me just say this. I’ve played EVERY single Sniper Elite game on consoles from PSN to Xbox and 100% completed them all, with my pops, trophies as all. He passed away unfortunately right after 100% completing Sniper Elite V2 so no more co-op, but he would’ve LOVED this game! I just wanted to show how big of fans we are to the franchise and how much I know about the earlier games. OK, so I received the game for PS5 yesterday and I finished the first level. It took me 4 hours or so because it was that FUN and BIG as a level. There’s some minor glitches with the explosions, and masking sounds and movement seems a little janky, in the beginning, but I’m sure they’ll patch it up soon. Hopefully. Like I said above, I’ve played them all, from Sniper Elite 2 to 4, then to Sniper Elite V2. When I first started the game, I was a little taken back on how the movement felt, but you get use to that very quickly. Or you can adjust it in settings. Then I was a little concerned about the level lay out, but then my mind was blown on how big it was after a couple of hours in! If you are a die hard fan of the Sniper Elite games, you will love absolutely love it! If you are new, you’re going to absolutely love it, as well! There’s just so many ways of coming into an objective, and taking down your enemies. It will make the single player mode playable for quite a while. So they do a little guiding for you in the beginning, like the previous games, then they set you free pretty quickly. Once that happens, the game opens up! The upgrades on EVERY gun, from pistol to rifle are awesome! The level design is awesome! The sound is phenomenal! And the game play almost had me up all night, when I had to be up for work at 4am. Like I said above, I was having so much fun on the first level, I just started shooting at random things from the random guns you find, and I was running around just checking out how great the level design is. One thing I will say, is that if you are a die hard fan like me, you might get thrown off on the new weapon upgrades, but after using them, I was fine with it. I’m truly blown away by the game so far, and I believe this will be the best Sniper Elite game in the series as well. So if you are on the fence about picking this up, do yourself a favor and get it! You won’t regret it!

I ordered for PlayStation 5, received for PlayStation 4, Initiated replacement/return. Next day got second replacement order and it was also for PlayStation 4. It only comes for PS4 then you download for PS5 Amazon did refund money and told me to keep one of them at no cost. Amazon refunded order and made it right. I had pS1 and 2 was always in to car games which are fun for an hour, this game is hard to put down ton of fun.

Cool game. I intentionally bought this game because I know they have a newer version . This way when I get hooked on it and run out of missions I can go right into the newer version and keep the game going. The kill shots are a little graphic and some sensitive parents might not approve for the littles.

Review, single player only, Update 1.05. Sniper Elite 4 was a good balance between playability and good game mechanics. I really enjoyed it. I was amazed at how the fire fights are generally different every time it's played. Sniper Elite 5 follows this game mechanic with a few additional twists. It's still the same game and for the fans, nothing wrong with that! I do have some issues. The enemy spread is way too large for a single player game. The spread is great for playing co-op, but not solo combat. Trigger an alarm and you get swarmed. So far, in one mission I scored 151 kills. SE4 had the right balance. So the game goes from being a sniper contest to intense WWII slog-fest. One thing does help--the enemy AI is dumb. While there are plenty of workbenches for upgrading weapons, they are sometimes hidden in obscure locations and there is often no logical approach to find them. You have to go online and do a search to find the locations with swarms of nazis to fight to get there. I found the graphics to be pretty good with the architecture being the best crafted of the visuals. Navigation can be frustrating. A case in point is Mont-Saint-Michel and the Fécamp Abbey which must be an exact replica of the real thing, with dozens of rooms, halls, stairways, etc. It's remarkable. But there is no map for the interior making navigating to mission objectives difficult (besides all the enemies you have to kill to get there). Even our hero comments, "This place is a maze." Correct! Here is where they get one star off. The game is buggy showing it was not properly play tested. They all do it now but it is disgusting to charge so much for a product that is not finished and causes the gamer frustration. It's really disappointing to go through a process to complete a special assassination of a German officer for a weapon upgrade and you don't get the upgrade. Another mission features a ​defect that ends mission progression. At least there is a workaround for that level.​ Having said all of this, in my experience, it is a very good WWII game with great replay value for the single player.

The best game in the series. However, it is more fun on your second playthrough. Standard Sniper Elite gameplay, except for the addition of alarms and workbenches (for weapon upgrades) throughout the maps, which are self-contained. If an alarm is activated, you can still survive, but not easily. That is probably the only downside to the game. Otherwise, excellent presentation, gameplay, and performance. On the second playthrough, you will have better weapons and attachments, so you have more effective options for your missions. That makes the game much more satisfying to play, and much less frustrating.

I’ve been a fan of the Sniper Elite series for years and every game just keeps getting better and better. This release is by far their best. Complete overhaul in graphics, user interface, bullet drop, X-ray kill cams, etc. Added features include “invasion” which means while you play single player, people can join in at any given time and play as the Nazis. This gives the game a huge amount of gameplay. This option can be turned off and on at anytime. MP really isn’t my thing but did try it to give an honest opinion. It’s fun, not going to lie. Everything works and is really fluid. If you’re a fan of the series or just want to play a different game than you’re use to, pick this up and spend hours upon hours killing Nazis. ****Just and FYI NEVER PRE-ORDER ANYTHING FROM AMAZON THAT HAS EXTRA CONTENT**** You will never see it. Amazon says 48-72 hours a code will be emailed, it won’t be. When you contact Amazon they have no idea what you’re talking about and refer you to contact the manufacturer, in turn they tell you to contact Amazon since it was a special promotion through Amazon.

this game is not good,the problem i have with the one i have just got from amazon is it sometimes hard to change the devises some times it will not change at all.i will look to get my games from somewhere other then amazon.
