could we keep this in refrigerator?

I don’t see why not. Don’t think it will make a difference.

Why does the description say for use on legs but more text speaks to under makeup highlighter?

You can probably use this product wherever you would like a bounce of light.

is it for sensitive skin

White this product is intended for all skin types, we do see anecdotes from customers with sensitive skin seemingly loving this. Hope this helps : )

Does this smell terrible to anyone else? Almost unbearable

No! I went to the bathroom where I keep it with all my other toilitries and cosmetics, put some on my hand and did not smell anything unplesent--perhaps your bottle was spoiled or contaminated somehow. I would take to a store where it is sold and see if all of their Starglow smells that way, or perhaps only you who finds it objectionable? It is one of their best sellers!
