D'Addario VENN Tenor Saxophone Reed, G2, Strength 2.0

Excellent produit mais attention à l'echelle de rigidité, elle est très forte. force 2 est trop pour moi alors qu'en Legere American Cut c'est parfait. La tremper dans l'eau bouillante pendant 2 secondes et çà passe. J'ai un son moins brillant qu'avec ma légère. Je la garde comme seconde option.

Middelmatige projectie , toon verscherpt bij zacht en hard spelen. Helt af naar Bright. Totaal niet het riet dat me past voor een mooie klassieke klank.

Es una caña casi idéntica a las Rico pero con características sintéticas que la hacen súper duradera y fácil de tocar

Initially looking at the size of the carton that housed the reed have the impression that there would be a few in the packet but when I took the cover off I realised that only was one reed inside. I had to have a word with myself,if there were more than 4 the reeds would have been of very low quality. Bearing in mind that this was a synthetic reed developed using new technology I can see why it held one. I attached it to my newly purchased D’Addario mouth piece and tried to play notes that I had struggled with when using other 2.5 reeds , and instantly sore the value of my investment. All the notes were deeper and did not require any trial and error in getting a beautiful tone. Having just returned to playing the Tenor Saxophone after an extended lay off I feel very comfortable and confident in using my day off to practice and master new musical pieces with this very responsive reed which sounds more like a strength 3.0 cane reed no squeaks and makes me sound like an intermediate player rather than a raw novice . In addition the reason that I sought out this reed was due to getting extremely sore lower lip as lower strength reeds caused me to bite down hard , even quality reeds from Vandoren did not help, so after being frustrated with only sometimes playing the notes correctly even on various assorted mouthpieces from my collection. I decided it was time to invest in a stronger reed. Thank goodness that my search is over and I can practice improving my beloved Tenor Saxophone. Well worth the cost .
