Blackstone® 12" Round Griddle Basting Cover, Stainless Steel

This 12-inch Blackstone basting cover is a really helpful piece to have for a Blackstone or other flat top griddle. We use it mostly for melting cheese, steaming vegetables, and helping create more of an oven-like covered space on the griddle when needed. It is one of those accessories that may seem simple, but once you have it, it comes in handy for a lot of different foods. What I like: • Great for melting cheese on burgers • Melts cheese quickly and evenly • Helpful for steaming vegetables • Useful for creating a covered cooking area on the griddle • 12-inch size covers a good amount of food • Works well for several burger patties or a larger portion of food • Stainless steel construction • Feels decently made • Handle stays comfortable to use • Nice to have on hand for different recipes • Helps make the Blackstone more versatile • Easy to wash and keep clean • Simple accessory, but very practical Things to be aware of: • The handle needs to be screwed on when you receive it • Assembly only takes a couple of minutes • It is fairly lightweight, so I would not treat it roughly • I would store it carefully and not leave it exposed outside • The 12-inch size is very useful, but you may want more than one if cooking a large amount at once • Like most stainless accessories, it will hold up best with normal care and proper storage Overall: This basting cover has been very useful for our Blackstone. It works great for melting cheese, steaming vegetables, and covering food when you want a little more controlled heat. The 12-inch size is practical, the stainless steel is easy to clean, and the handle has been comfortable to use. It is a simple accessory, but it adds a lot of convenience to griddle cooking.

Love this basting cover for my blackstone. Works perfectly for melting cheese on smash burgers. I squirt a little bit of water underneath it and it steams the food so well, especially veggies - they don’t get dried out if they are steamed with this cover. The rubber handle makes it really easy to pick up without getting burned or having to use tongs. I’ve had it for a long time and there is ZERO rust anywhere - I’ve even left it outside overnight a few times by accident. Very happy with it, definitely recommend.

Works well! Gave this as a gift to my father. Appearance is as expected, it's durable, easy to use and easy to clean.

The item was good but the packaging was terrible. Reviews said it came in a box, it showed up in a paper bag. Of course the lid was dented and oblong. But its a lid and will do the job. Not worth running around returning it. It works. As for the lid, nice design, handle stays cool, nice stainless. Used it tonight and it works great. Cut cooking burgers in half the time and cheese meltded quickly. Really nice to have

It’s really nice. It has the black handle which is not what I was expecting but it’s the black stone one. Great for steaming!

But square rectangle and round for the Blackstone. They are all awesome.

Does the job

These are great for cooking on the BBQ or on the stove, to be used as a lid to keep the heat in...helps cook the food as well as melt the cheese. I ordered a few extra and changed the handles (buy handles from Home Depot to fit) and they became dinner cloches! Love them!
