The best way to handle caulk!
I love this brand of caulk gun. The control it provides makes caulking anything a fantastic experience. I have the smaller model and love it and I should have bought the larger model sooner. You don't realize how much easier it is to complete a job until you have the right tools. This is one of those things I can't recommend enough. Sometimes I run into tubes that respond less while using dripless mode. It's not the gun, it's the tube and what's inside it. Most tubes of caulk work perfectly in the gun and are much easier to control. It 's almost like using a great stuff foam spray gun. If you've been using the can with the straw applicator you don't know what you've been missing until you use the metal gun. It offers so much more control and less cleanup, less stress, etc. This is worth every penny.

Excellent product!
First, I started in life as a carpenter (union journeyman, after a 4 year apprenticeship). I left the trade after 20+ years, but still am engaged in projects. Through the years, I've used many different caulking guns, both small and quart size such as this. This is one of the best, albeit a bit costly!I've gone through several dozen tubes of caulk and/or adhesive and the gun has performed flawlessly. It has a wire for piercing tubes and a tip cutter. It is indeed dripless. The plastic it is constructed from, is industrial grade. I have dropped the gun without nary a crack or mark.If you have the need for a large size gun, this is the one you should buy.

Item is great! This seller is not!!!
Great item, works as intended. Has a tube poker, if you don’t overly abuse it it should be fine. I had them in the past and are amazing. This one got shipped used, unlike the new I ordered and payed for. Beware of this seller.

Bought this to use with self leveling sealant. Not ...
Bought this to use with self leveling sealant. Not sure how long it will last as it is plastic. I can see this breaking at the rotate point where the yellow tube holder meets the handle. However, I did not have any issues. The dripless function did not work at all with the thinner caulk.

An excellent caulk gun-
I've used the smaller version since they came out with it a few years ago. The larger (1Qt) gun is designed with the same high quality as the smaller 10.5 oz gun. The larger gun has added a release tab on the back and the ability to turn off the dripless feature. The dripless feature works well releasing pressure from the tube. But some caulks with thicker viscosity do a bit betterwith the dripless off. When I last used a cheaper metal framed model; it took (2) hands at full grip to get some textured log chinking caulk to come out. Turned off the dripless feature and the new gun was a pleasure to use; just have to remember to hit the release tab. It's much lighter and easier to use than any I've used in the past; I've done house painting / carpentry for quit a few years. Caulking gun mechanisms wear out in time; but what doesn't. These are the nicest caulking guns I've used, a smart design and a pleasure to use.

Broke during 2nd use!
I purchased this item because I have 5 of the smaller drip less caulk guns and love them. I’ve used it 2 times and noticed it was hard to squeeze trigger and then noticed this?? Sent company a message and waiting to hear back from them.

Unit seems of very good quality but regular caulking tubes will not fit this
Unit seems of very good quality but regular caulking tubes will not fit this. It takes only industrial application tubes since the push plate is larger than regular use guns.

Big Fan! So much nicer than the budget models
When I picked up the caulk gun, I could tell right away that this was a good purchase decision. Just feels nicer in the hand than the cheap ones from the big box stores. I was concerned that perhaps the larger sized 28-oz sealant tubes would be tiring to my hands, but I used this gun to put down about 4 large tubes of self-leveling concrete caulk, and my hand felt better than it did after putting down one 10-oz tube with a budget gun. The ability to switch the "dripless" feature off and on was a big plus.Note about "dripless": When the gun is in dripless mode, it automatically relieves pressure on the caulk/sealant tube. If the plunger on the gun is no longer touching the diaphragm on the caulk tube, that is all it can do. If the caulk is still coming out, it's the caulk's fault, not the gun's. The gun can't magically pull back on the diaphragm on the caulk tube. Bad reviews on this and many other "dripless" guns are most likely due to the way the caulk behaves, not the gun.Back to the product review. This one is a gem. I'm going to buy the 10oz model soon.
