Almost a year later, - still working great. Less expensive than a single physical therapy session.
Last year I was suffering from vertigo due to vestibular hypofunction. I had about a half dozen physical therapy sessions and this pad does a lot of what I needed. Perfect for at home use. I did a lot of searching. There are some cheaper (and smaller) options but this is the brand that my clinic used and based on reviews seemed more durable. I like the bigger size in order to position feet in different ways. The main exercise that I need to do on the pad is to stand with feet together and eyes closed to isolate the vestibular contribution to balance. My physical therapist said that there are 3 elements to balance: touch (ex. feet), eyesight, and the inner ears (vestibulas). Using the pad, especially barefoot, takes away the sense of touch and keeping eyes closed takes the vision part out of the equation, leaving really just the inner ear. Keeping feet next to each other then try to stand still for 30 seconds. I place the pad in the corner so that I can just lean back if I'm feeling at all "wobbly". With time, I advanced to moving arms, shifting a foot forward 6 inches, using dumbbells, moving head around slowly, and increasing time. A year later and between the PT and the at home exercises, the problem seems to be largely solved but I still try to do the exercises periodically to keep it from coming back. Given that it is the same as what clinics use heavily, I'm not surprised that it has held up well. No sign of material breakdown, unlike review complaints about some cheaper options. I figure this will be in the corner of my entertainment room for years to come. I can stand in the corner and listen to the TV while doing my exercises. Mine is blue but the picture shows the pad in a pillow case. Makes it a little less visually obtrusive and easier to clean. Mine is about 20x16 and I recommend this size which makes it easier to position the feet in different ways to provide variety in the exercises. Glad that I got it and even more glad that the vertigo episodes are gone!

Perfect pad to get your balance back!
Perfect size for balance training. The box had a dent in it so it made a dent in the balance pad. However, there was zero damage, so Iโm pleased with its quality and durability!

Perfect for Home PT!
Perfect for PT exercises at home! I almost thought I was scammed because AIREX brand is expensive. But I snagged this one for $43 (with tax) and the item is exactly as described. Itโs lightweight and squishyโperfect for reducing knee pain while kneeling down. I tried getting a cheaper knee pad from Gorilla Grip, which is a decent knee pad, but my knee needs the support provided with the AIREX foam. Itโs anti-slipโalready tested balancing on itโand easy to use for my home exercises. I cannot comment on the durability given that I just got it, but this โbasicโ one feels pretty close to the โeliteโ ones my PT uses and those hold up with a bunch of patients coming in and out, so Iโm hopeful this one will hold up too.

Durable balance cushion
Exactly as expected. Recommended by a physical therapist to use for balance, and adding height to a seat. Not slippery. Doesnโt compress like a pillow or foam seat cushions. Seems very durable. Easy to move. Dimensions in the description are accurate.

Useful for a chair pad
This makes the wife's wheelchair more comfortable and lifts her up to make it easier to get out of the chair.

Excellent Balance Pad
I have vestibular hypofunction which makes me dizzy all the time. I was told by the PT to purchase a pad like this. I bought the brand the PT place uses on Amazon. I have to do exercises and the pad is holding up wonderfully. No signs of wear at all.

WORTH THE MONEY
This mat is worth the money for sure . I have vestibular problems and was using pillows to stand on for my balance exercises. The mat is so much better and may look like any other Mat but itโs not . Itโs amazing.

Balance pad problem
I was thrilled to get the Airex balance pad. However after two months of daily use it looks awful. I have been very careful with it but its surface is badly nicked and an edge has broken off. I will probably replace it because itโs an eyesore now. I would not recommend it.
