David’s wife reviewing this product: About a month ago, I was struggling with some skin issues under my armpits. I wasn’t sure if it was razor blades burn or some sort of skin issues. It started as a small one inch patch, then it increased to three inches! It was so uncomfortable and itchy! I even changed my razor blades and stopped shaving my armpits for about five days. It slightly stopped the redness, but wasn’t completely gone. Then I tried a diaper rash cream and that worked a little bit. Then, I waited another a few more days and I tried Aquaphor Healing Ointment; and that cleared about 60-70% of my rash. Still itchy and uncomfortable. Then, the rash grew a little bit again! I was seriously losing hope. I didn’t want to see a dermatologist, because you know that won’t be cheap! I search on the internet for similar cases, and it looked similar to eczema. I told my husband about my skin issues and he told me to use this handmade bar soap. He says, “it works great on my skin when I shave my beard. It’s all natural ingredients.” I hesitated for a day because I don’t want my armpits to get any worse. I used it and the next day, my rash decreased it by 50%! I used it for the next 2-3 days, and it completely disappeared! It turns out my husband’s friend has been making his own soap by using all natural oil (shea butter, olive oil, and coconut oil, lye, turmeric, and lemongrass). So I ordered Shea butter to make my own soap. His friend came over to help make the soap. And there you have it! I hope this helps someone who is reading this review. This product smells good; it’s not overbearing. It’s affordable and applies well. It melts well with other oils. I think this will last me a long time. All natural is better. I bought the 8 oz of Kokum butter and WOW this stuff is so good!!! The best I've ever bought!! Smells fresh and clean meaning no smell. Looks perfect. Perfect texture and melts properly. Feels AMAZING on skin! Using it to make sunscreen for the face and just for moisturizer. Highly recommend this brand!!

This is my first time purchasing from this seller, so I cannot vouch for the consistency of their quality. I just wanted to make that clear right from the start. However, the product I purchased—era of nature Organic Unrefined Raw African Ivory White Shea Butter 16oz - Moisturizing Raw Shea Butter Bar for Skin & Hair, DIY Lip Balm Base, Cream, Soap & Lotion Making Supplies Kit, Skincare—appears to be of good quality. Its colour was a pleasant pale cream, the scent was mild (not too intense), and the product looked good. The packaging, as you can see, is the same as advertised, as can be seen in the image I have attached. Furthermore, the amount of product seem correct; I haven't weighed it, so I cannot state for certain but its a good amount. Next time I will use a scale to weigh for accuracy. The price was more affordable than many other options I looked at, and—based on the reviews—I decided to give this product a try. So far, I am glad I did, as the oils I have prepared using it have a pleasant scent, and I haven't experienced any adverse reactions. For this reason, I have given it 4 stars. It absorbs nicely in the skin when applied directly, and as mentioned, mixes well with the other oils and products I have. So if their quality is consistent, I will purchase again, and so I would recommend them.

This is a great product. I have been using it for years and this batch seems really fresh and soft easy to apply and it seems like it will be easy to blend with stuff to make other projects but I’ll just use it like as you will lose lotion or something like that for your skin and I love it.

Bought this body butter, as an addition to my Shea butter, which was not healing my skin as I would’ve liked. My skin was moisturized, but it was not healing the cracks that I seem to be experiencing as well as I had hoped. This appears to be doing the trick. Blended the kokum with the Shea, using almond oil to soften things a bit. It has made a big difference in the way my skin holds moisture all day. The cracks seem to be healing, and my skin is improved. Of course it will take a few months, but overall this has been a game changer. The smell is not unpleasant nor is it overbearing. It’s slightly earthy. You will not find this at the local beauty supply store. I will continue using this blend it with my Shea. It has actually made my Shea butter less greasy, which I actually like. Good purchase.

I am using this ingredient in some of my own skin creams. It works like it should, is nicely packaged, easy to purchase, and great price!
