Too brittle for my liking.
They are sharp enough for any needs, but are too brittle by half. Wear protective gloves with these because they snap with hardly any lateral pressure.

Fiddly to Fit on Handle
I bought this sterile scalpel expecting a standard fit, but the blade is curved more like a craft knife than a typical scalpel. It works, but it wasn’t what I expected. I used a size 3 handle, and attaching the blade was surprisingly fiddly. The part that slides onto the handle is very rigid, so getting it seated properly took more effort than it should. Once it’s finally on, the blade is sharp and performs well, but the setup isn’t smooth. Overall, it’s a usable scalpel, but the awkward attachment and unusual blade shape make it just an okay option.I used it for agar work in mycology.
