The letters directly following the number identify the tone or tones. The first letter is the dominant tone, and the second letter is the supporting tone. As a brand representative for IGK, I will be happy to answer your question! If your current hair color is lighter than Sunset Lover, you should achieve results consistent with the packaging. If your hair is currently darker, the color kits will be capable of lightening the hair up to two levels, but only on virgin hair. If there is previous color on your hair, it will not be capable of lightening that. I hope this is helpful!
