How long do these magnets last? I want to add these to a costume but im afraid they will lose their magnetic properties

These are ferrite magnets which are also known as permanent magnets. They retain their magnetism very well and will probably only lose 10% in their whole lifetime and they will last many years.

Will the magnets scratch my fridge? Specifically a stainless steel fridge?

Yes, there is a possibility these magnets could scratch your SS fridge. It would depend on how you removed them. If you 'slide' them off, I believe they would scratch. If you lift them straight up, more than likely not. Nevertheless, if you're using these to attach something to the fridge, (photos, papers, etc.) and the magnet is not actually touching the true surface of the fridge, then they shouldn't scratch.

Are theses ceramic magnets?

No they are not ceramic. They are very strong and I honestly can’t find the box at the moment but I made over 100 tree slices and used the magnets on them and I will reorder soon to make some other crafts!

Would this be strong enough if embedded in 1/8" pine, to another magnet in pine, so going through 3 inches of pine? simple children's toy.

3 inches of pine would be a tough job for any magnet.
