Worked for brake bleeding and power steering fluid reservoir drain
I have an 03 Toyota Corolla(non-ABS brake system) that I've made a hobby to experiment on and do as much as I can to it maintenance wise within reason. It's my only car and I've owned it since 2005. I thought I'd try to bleed my own brakes since I have replaced the rotors, brake pads, drums and brake shoes a few years ago. I went to the auto-shop to bleed the brakes for me back then. This inexpensive pump did the trick for me. I did a lot of research reading forums and watching Youtube videos. One thing that made me uneasy though is some people were saying seeing small bubbles is normal since the vaccum pressure is sucking air through the threads of the bleeder screw and isn't necessarily indicating there is air in the brake line nor does seeing these small bubbles mean that air is going into the line. Some folk were applying a grease or teflon tape around the brake bleeder screw to prevent air from being sucked into tube during the brake bleed process which I did not do. I chose the mindset that seeing a stream of air bubbles was normal and not to worry that they were going to make it into the brake line since the vaccum pressure was pulling. I did all four brakes and the braking system works fine. I'm happy to know the old dark brake fluid has been replaced with fresh new fluid. I did not use the black tips that came with the kit. I felt better securing the clear tubing directly over the bleeder screws. At a later date, I used this same pump to siphon out the old power steering(P/S) fluid from the reservoir. To my knowledge, this fluid hasn't been replaced once since I've had the car. I then filled the reservoir full with fresh Dexron III ATF from Toyota since that is what this car specifies to use for P/S fluid interestingly enough. I redirected the P/S fluid reservoir return hose into an empty bottle. I raised the front wheels to turn them from lock to lock to push new fluid through the system and push out the dark old P/S fluid until I saw the cherry red color. Had to top off the reservoir a few times as you do not want it to run dry since that would introduce air into the P/S system which you'd have to bleed out.I hope this review and my comments are helpful!

👍Works
Works as advertised.Used on a troublesome motorcycle brake caliper.Unfortunately the problem was the master cylinder. As soon as I rebuild master,I expect trouble free brake bleed.

Trash Don’t Ever Buy Complete Trash
This item is trash please do not waste your time. I immediately put a request for a refund.I got all my items (car parts)-brake pads-rotors-calipers-brake fluid-brake bleeder kitUpon be getting these items for my rear braking system I started to removing and installing these things. Wow done. All that’s left is to bleed the rear braking system since that’s where I did the work to the vehicle I must bleed them. Unwrapping the Amazon box for the first time just like all my other items I read the manual and even found a YouTube video on how to properly bleed the rear braking system. Wow now I feel confident to attack this project. Because I can follow the video step by step during this project. Open case and begin to do as the instructions has followed. During the process my item looked different from the video. As if it was missing a piece or screw and couldn’t find it no where. I suddenly find this silver piece (as the picture shows) and puts it on but screwing it. Finally everything is hooked on and now it’s time to continue to the video for more instruction when bleeding the brakes.*crack loose the screw so it can be loose enough to start the process (not tight not loose; should not leak at all)* connect the hole with the attachment on the bleeder screw*pump until the needle is set to 20 (if you see bubbles then that mean you had a leak; should not leak out at this time) once its pumped and needle set at 20 start to slowly turn the bleeding screw until you see guild and or bubblesBubbles are a sign of air in the lines. Good now pump pump pump do not let the needle come don’t lower the 10 on the gauge of pumper meter. And so on and so forth right. The reason I stopped here is because I have not reached this far on the video because the as I started to pump the pump immediately the sliver piece flew up and the air and made it impossible to pump now. (Recap I went from pumping to get the gauge to read 20 to start process but the meter would not go pass about 13 or so whatever that is the be in between 15&10 upon the meter. When the sliver piece flew off and up in the air.)This is why I said that this is trash. Because it brakes before could do anything. As if it was always like this. Mind you the package upon arrival looks as if it was open and or couldn’t fit it this small ass box and had a whole bunch of clear tape upon dem box. Box didn’t look as if it was an Amazon package with the blue tape and etc. honestly I got this because I didn’t trust the ones in the store because they looked cheap when actually I should had just got the one from harbor freight. This item was so trash I would never ever give Amazon a chance when ordering things like this I will continue to go to an auto store. This was ridiculous. Ain’t no way I ain’t even get to use it and start to process and the shit break I seen shit from the dollar store last longer then this did. Horrible. TRASH!!! Asss!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY. COMPLETELY AND UTTER TRASH IF I EVER SEEN. I NEED A REFUND IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!! PLEASE PEOPLE READ MY COMMENT AND TRUST ME DO NOT BUY THIS AT ALL PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. AT ALL. !!!!!!!
