Is this material heavy enough to filter light if hung on a window (I would be buying black)?

It’s not like a blackout curtain but it does filter light and will darken the room.The material is heavy and it hangs beautifully. I have the black curtain.

Is this liner mold and mildew resistant??

I’ve had the shower curtain for one full month and haven’t seen any mold or mildew build up; however I washed it after the first two weeks and plan on keeping that schedule to avoid those issues
