I use these daily as a low-volt installer. I have re-bought them 3 times over the years only due to them being lost or stolen. There is no reason to spend more than double on the name brand ones.

I really wanted to like these scissors. I've purchased Workpro diagonal pliers several time and I do like them. The scissors cut like a champ for the first month or two but seem to lose there "edge" after that. Even attempting to sharpen them is only a temporary fix. (Project Manager: Network and low voltage cabling)

Made for a electrician but they are kept handy on the deck of my boat. They cut everything. Braid is no problem

Been using these scissors for 3 years, the last on instrument, lighting, and low power terminations...oh, and cable splicing. Never failed me, until recently...they are starting to frequently spread when I try to cut multy strand wire or tie wraps with the tip. Would I buy them again...yes, they are well worth it.

These are not as useful as I was hoping they would be. Yes they will cut smaller AWG wire & strip. Good for Cat 5, doorbell wire, thermostat wire. Stranded or solid they are fine with this AWG. I was hoping to also use them for plastic bags & paper. Kind of like regular siccors. They do not work for this purpose.
