I ordered this wax for making waxed canvas. Each block weighed about one ounce more than a pound, meaning that you are actually getting a little more wax than you paid for, which is always nice. The wax melted very smoothly, and did not smell harsh or like chemicals. It has a fairly firm texture, and is sticky when cut into with a knife. Once applied to canvas, it has a mostly clear, slightly white color. Overall, this wax is very easy to work with, melts smooth, and you do not get shorted what you pay for.

I don't know a whole lot about the different waxes out there, but this one did just fine for the money. I make fire starters for our wood burning stove out of this and some other ingredients, and it worked well. Kinda hard to get excited about wax.

I used this to mix with bee's wax to make a semi-soft wax to protect cast iron tools going into storage. When I pulled them out of storage just short of 3 years later, they were all rust free, so good to go!
