BUY IT!! It holds two of the Costco vacuum packed salmon/Mahi Mahi filets perfectly! I like that it is small enough that I can prepare/spice my fish inside with the rack on a plate, and then carry it out to the grill. No mess, and super easy. Also, my grill lid shuts fully since it doesn't have handle sticking out, and it takes up way less grill area. The very best part, it goes in the dishwasher - so no more trying to clean my long-armed old fish basket in the sink with a brillo pad and making a mess. I did stretch the coils slightly by hand to make a bit more room for the filets since it held them too tight the first time I used it. It was really easy to do. Now it holds them great and they don't get stuck around the coils at all. Sweet! I will be buying another as a gift from my Father in law.

Fits inside small grill lid perfectly. Requires hot pads for turning and opening, as expected. It also fits compactly in dishwasher and cleans easily. It’s a great aid to grilling small items! And perfect for households wanting a quality basket that also stores compactly.

Clever and practical, but a bear to clean!

Just received and haven't try it yet, but just to note, the actual dimensions listed on the packaging are: 8.3 in x 6.9 in Tried it now and it works good. Just a little on the small side, but good for a serving for two people.

I wouldn't plan on cooking more than 16 ounces of protein with this basket. Just right for two 8 ounce pieces of fish. The basket screen is too tight for delicate cuts, you need to stretch it out with your hands to leave an inch or so space inbtween the two halves when closed. Too bad about the sizing, this size should be a little bigger and the large size is way too big :-(

Clasp has not come off in use but is hot immediately after the fish basket is removed from the grill. Opening the fish basket with potholders is rather awkward

Very well made, but too small for practical use. We tried to use it for a 1 lb red snapper. We could have lived with the head extending beyond the rack, while the largest problem was that the rack would not close easily. After using more force than would be considered reasonable. the rack closed, though with sufficient force to disfigure the fish. An impractical product, except for the thinnest of fillets.

This the best way I have found to do fish on the grill. WIih the fish being "trapped" between the two grates, it is so easy to flip with no worries about breaking the fish apart. Just remember to spreay both food contact surfaces with a non-stick oil spreay.

Very good build quality and does the job perfectly

Besonders bei Fisch ist das Teil genial. Der Lachs wird darin richtig zart und saftig, da er nicht direkt auf dem heißen Rost „festbrennt“. Das Design ist durchdacht – man kann das Grillgut sicher wenden, und es fällt absolut nichts raus. Die kleine Variante (28 x 20 cm) reicht perfekt für ein ordentliches Stück Lachs aus. Nach mehrmaligem Gebrauch sieht der Korb nicht mehr so schön aus. Trotz Edelstahl brennen sich Fettspritzer und die Hitze ein, sodass Verfärbungen bleiben, die man auch in der Spülmaschine nicht mehr ganz wegbekommt. Aber ganz ehrlich? Er erfüllt trotzdem voll und ganz seinen Zweck. Es ist eben ein Gebrauchsgegenstand für den Grill und kein Deko-Objekt.

He probado la cesta en varias ocasiones, siempre con pescado. Yo no tengo problemas con manchas ni con que la comida se quede muy pegada, evidentemente algo se queda, pero no es complicado de quitar, es muy cómoda y para pescados algo planos (es para lo que lo llevo probado por ahora) va genial, caben de 4 a 5 sardinas ni muy pequeñas ni muy grandes y no las aplastas al cerrar. Se quedan bien sujetas y se les da la vuelta muy fácilmente, sin dejar pieles pegadas en la parrilla. Es mejor en este sentido que otros que venden porque queda el pescado bien prieto y no hay que estar haciendo malabares en el aire para que no se salga el pescado por los laterales al darle la vuelta. No está mal el precio si se le da uso a la barbacoa está claro, para tenerlo cogiendo polvo mejor limitarse a hacer las típicas hamburguesas, salchichas y choricitos a la barbacoa y dejar el pescado para la cocina.
