I want to use this with parrots. Is there a way to attach something to the door so a small treat can’t be offered?

I have purchased 2 of these for grandchildren, they love them. But they have fingers. I can't see how you would put treats on the doors to assist a bird to open the latches unless you glued it.

Why is this toy rated for three and up? I’ve known babies who love it.
